A display controller includes: a display unit that displays information together with a menu of operations; a screen controller that switches at least one item included in the menu between full display and compact display for display; and an operation unit that accepts an operation from a user including an operation for the menu. In a case where the operation unit accepts the operation for the menu, the screen controller switches the compact display of the menu item to the full display in response to the operation. In a case where display other than the menu is updated, the screen controller switches the full display of the menu item to the compact display.

The present invention provides an image forming apparatus comprising: at least one first module and at least one second module configured to execute functions corresponding respectively to the at least one first module; a first control unit configured to notify, to a corresponding second module, a request accepted by the at least one first module; and a second control unit configured to control in accordance with the notification from the first control unit, the corresponding second module, wherein the at least one first module is activated at all times from when the image forming apparatus is activated, and the at least one second module is generated as a container of an execution environment that is independent of an operating system and whose activation state is controlled by an instruction from the second control unit.

In response to receiving the instruction to combine multiple scanned pages, a resolution field is output from the user interface. A user-set resolution for the scanned pages on the n-up sheets is received into the resolution field. With this, the scanned pages are scanned at the user-set resolution using a scanner. A processor is used to combine the scanned pages together into the n-up sheets at the user-set resolution of the scanned pages resolution, and the processor outputs the n-up sheets in an electronic file.

An image display system is configured such that an image display device and an image processing device are connected to each other through a network. An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to perform control of a display. The control is performed to display a sub screen on a first main screen if an execution instruction for a job is given. The sub screen includes information regarding a progress state of the job. The control is performed to display a progress state of the job on a second main screen in a case where an operation by a user is needed after the execution instruction for the job is given. The progress state displayed on the second main screen is displayed with more information than the information regarding the progress state of the job included in the sub screen.

An image forming system includes a plurality of image forming apparatuses and an information terminal that communicates with the plurality of image forming apparatuses. The information terminal includes a communication unit and a controller. The communication unit communicates with the image forming apparatus. An image forming apparatus for a display unit that is configured to display at least one of a foreground or a background includes a display control unit. The display control unit is configured to cause the display unit to display, in the foreground, a first screen corresponding to a first input by a user. The display control unit is also configured to cause the display unit to display, in the background, a second screen corresponding to a home screen of the user. The display control unit is also configured to cause in response to receiving a clear input from the user, the display unit to display, in the foreground, the second screen and display, in the background, the second screen separately from the second screen displayed in the foreground.

An image processing apparatus includes a registration unit configured to register a content to be displayed on a display unit of the image processing apparatus, a setting unit configured to make a setting as to whether to display, in accordance with a login to the image processing apparatus, the content registered by the registration unit, and a display control unit configured to control, in a case where the setting unit makes the setting to display, in accordance with the login to the image processing apparatus, the content registered by the registration unit, processing of displaying, on the display unit in accordance with a user login, the content registered by the registration unit.
