Channel state feedback for multi-cell MIMO

Disclosed is a method for use in a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication network in which the network includes a plurality of cells provided by one or more base stations operable to transmit signals on at least one downlink to, and receive signals on at least one uplink from, one or more user equipments. A user equipment feeds back to the network reports on channel state information, CSI, relating to one or more channels between base stations and that user equipment, and base stations adapt downlink signals to user equipments based on the CSI reports, the method including: identifying uplink resources for a user equipment-initiated channel state message; the user equipment judging a need for a user equipment-initiated channel state message based on information not available to the network; and the user equipment sending the user equipment-initiated channel state message to the network using the uplink resources identified.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CHANNEL SOUNDING FOR A MU-MIMO WIRELESS COMMUNICATION NETWORK

In a multi user multiple input multiple output MU-MIMO wireless communication network comprising an access point and subscriber modules, a method of channel sounding comprises forming a respective MU-MIMO beam from the access point to each subscriber module of a first sounding group of subscriber modules by applying a beamforming weightset to a weighting matrix, the beamforming weightset determined based on previously determined channel estimates. Each MU-MIMO beam is used to transmit a respective sounding symbol, each respective sounding symbol being different from each other sounding symbol of the first sounding group. A first sounding symbol is received at a first subscriber module of the first sounding group, and it is determined whether to send a response message to the access point on the basis of a determination of a received level of interference to the first sounding symbol.

Reporting of Coefficients for Channel State Information

A method performed by a wireless device (510, 800, 1200) for reporting channel state information (CSI) for a downlink channel is disclosed. The method comprises transmitting (601, 705) a CSI report for the downlink channel to a network node (560, 1100), the CSI report comprising: a set of reported coefficients; an indication of how the network node is to interpret the set of reported coefficients; and an indication of a payload size of the set of the reported coefficients.

TERMINAL DEVICE, BASE-STATION DEVICE, AND COMMUNICATION METHOD

Uplink transmission can be performed efficiently. A transmission unit that transmits performance information and/or a PUSCH of a terminal device is provided. CSI-Part2 that is multiplexed in the PUSCH is dropped until a code rate of the CSI-Part2 becomes equal to or less than a target code rate of the CSI-Part2, and the code rate of the CSI-Part2 is determined based on a calculation performance of decimal places supported in the performance information of the terminal device.

Communication of Uplink Control Information

Various aspects of the disclosure relate to communicating uplink control information. As one example, a user equipment may send uplink control information to a base station. In some aspects, the number of symbols used to communicate the uplink control information may be based on a link gain associated with the UE and/or based on a payload size of the uplink control information. As another example, the user equipment may send channel information for a number of beams to the base station. In some aspects, the number of beams may be based on the type of channel that is used to send the uplink control information.

Robust radio link monitoring framework for unlicensed spectrum

Design of robust radio link monitoring framework for unlicensed spectrum is disclosed. The network may configured two different types of radio link monitoring (RLM) reference signal (RS) resources: default resources, which are transmitted throughout a connection, and additional resources, which may be transmitted only when there has been failure of transmission or reception of the default resources. Various criteria may be used by the network to trigger scheduling transmission of the additional RLM-RS. Moreover, different criteria may prompt a user equipment (UE) to begin monitoring the additional RLM-RS resources, including autonomous and network-initiated criteria.

Wireless communication method, terminal device and transmitting node

Provided in embodiments of the present application are a wireless communication method, a terminal device, and a transmitting node, which can implement measurement and feedback of reference signals supporting multiple downlink channel transmissions. The method comprises: the terminal device determines a mode for reporting a measurement result of a plurality of reference signals; and the terminal device reports report information including a rank indication corresponding to each of the plurality of reference signals according to the determined mode and the measurement result. The reporting mode determined by the terminal device is a first mode or a second mode. In the first mode, the maximum value of the rank indication in the report information corresponding to each reference signal does not exceed a first predetermined value, and in the second mode, the maximum value of the sum of rank indication values in the report information corresponding to the plurality of reference signals does not exceed a second predetermined value.

CSI feedback method, terminal, and base station

Provided are a CSI feedback method and apparatus, a terminal, a base station, and a storage medium. The method includes: determining whether overwriting CSI processing units (CPUs) is required according to a triggered first type CSI report, and/or, according to signaling or a signaling format for triggering a first type CSI report; and in response to determining that overwriting the CPUs is required, overwriting W CPUs, where W≤X, and X is the maximum number of CPUs used for processing CSI reports and supported by a terminal.
