Suspension liner with seal component
A seal component for a prosthetic liner comprises a base portion located at a distal portion of the seal component and anchored circumferentially to an exterior surface of the liner; a seal wall arranged to flexibly and movably extend relative to a body of the liner; at least two seal rings radially and outwardly extending from the seal wall; and an outwardly pitched portion at the distal end of the seal component and extends obliquely away from the base portion relative to the axis of the seal component, and an inwardly pitched portion at the proximal end of the seal component and extends obliquely toward the axis of the seal component, the at least two seal rings are located between the outwardly and inwardly pitched portions.
PROSTHETIC INTERFACE
A prosthetic interface includes a body portion having an open proximal end and a closed distal end including a distal cup. The body portion includes a membrane component having a flexible configuration defining an internal flow space extending along a length of the membrane component between an inner side arranged to face a skin surface of a residual limb and an outer side arranged to face away from the skin surface. At least one material coating is selectively applied to the membrane component that interacts with at least one of the membrane component and the distal cup to define at least one breathable region along the inner side that allows fluid flow between the internal flow space and the residual limb, and at least one impermeable region along the outer side that allows for vacuum suspension between the prosthetic interface and a prosthetic socket.
Liner for prosthetic and orthopedic systems
A liner is arranged for use in prosthetic and orthopedic devices. The liner defines first and second end portions, and inner and outer surfaces. The liner includes an inner layer having a frictional component and forms at least part of the periphery of the inner liner surface. The inner layer defines a plurality of apertures. A porous element is in communication with the inner liner surface and is connected to the inner layer such that the apertures permit a transfer of air from the inner surface to the porous element. A base layer adjoins the porous element and extends between the first and second end portions of the liner.
Prosthetic Liner With External Fabric Seal
A prosthetic liner for use with a prosthetic socket that has a thermoplastic elastomeric (TPE) layer that is in contact with the amputee's residual limb. The TPE layer is not uniform in thickness but has ridges to extend circumferentially around the TPE layer. A fabric exterior layer covers the outer surface of the TPE layer conforming to the ridges and is used as a substrate to form a mechanical bond to an elastomeric material. Impregnating the elastomeric material within the fabric exterior occurs by applying an uncured material to the fabric exterior layer and onto at least the apex surfaces located within the sealing regions thereby creating an air tight boundary layer when inserted into a socket. When a vacuum is applied the air is evacuated from the volume below the seal layer.
Prosthetic interface

The body portion includes a membrane component having a flexible configuration defining an internal flow space extending along a length of the membrane component between an inner side arranged to face a skin surface of a residual limb and an outer side arranged to face away from the skin surface. At least one material coating is selectively applied to the membrane component that interacts with at least one of the membrane component and the distal cup to define at least one breathable region along the inner side that allows fluid flow between the internal flow space and the residual limb, and at least one impermeable region along the outer side that allows for vacuum suspension between the prosthetic interface and a prosthetic socket.
Methods and Apparatus for Improved Interface Between the Human Body and Prosthetic or Similar Devices
Apparatus is provided to cushion between a prosthetic socket and an amputee's residual limb. A plurality of putty-filled packets are assembled into a liner that, when assembled, provides a generally smooth contact surface toward the residual limb. At least one of the packets has a fluid bladder positioned between the putty material and the socket, and the fluid volume in the bladder can be adjusted to affect the fit of the assembly on the residual limb. Methods of fabrication, fitting, and use of such prosthetic devices are disclosed.
Prosthetic liner
A prosthetic liner includes a flexible elongate, generally conical body portion formed from an elastomeric material. The body portion defines an inner surface, an outer surface forming a liner profile between a distal end and a proximal end, and an axis extending between the distal and proximal ends. At least one seal element extends circumferentially about the axis and protrudes radially outward a distance from the liner profile. The at least one seal element has a seal height defined between the liner profile and a radially outward end of the at least one seal element. The seal height varies circumferentially about the axis between a first seal height and a second seal height.
PROSTHESIS LINER
A prosthesis liner provided for fitting over a stump of a limb. The prosthesis liner includes a main body having an inner face directed towards the skin of the stump, and an outer face directed away from the stump. The prosthesis liner also includes a proximal access opening and a side wall, which extends from the access opening as far as a closed distal end portion of the liner. At least one sealing lip is arranged on the outer face of the main body and protrudes radially outwards from the main body.
Socket liner interface system
Embodiments herein relate to socket liners for prosthetic systems and prosthetic systems including the same. In an embodiment, a socket liner for a prosthetic system is included having a polymeric wall member defining an interior volume. The polymeric wall member having an inner surface bordering the interior volume and an outer surface. The polymeric wall member can include an anterior side, a posterior side, a first lateral side and a second lateral side the second lateral side opposite the first lateral side. A plurality of horizontal ridges can be disposed on the inner surface of the polymeric wall member on the first lateral side and the second lateral side. A plurality of vertical channels can be disposed on the inner surface of the polymeric wall member on the anterior side and the posterior side. Other embodiments are also included herein.
