The first and second arms can be connected to the hinge plate for rotation about first and second axes, respectively. The hinge plate can include an internally threaded aperture. The hinge can also include a force application assembly and an adjustment assembly. The adjustment assembly can include an externally threaded lead screw engaged with the internally threaded aperture, and having a medial end connected to the force application assembly and a keyed bore. The adjustment assembly can include a drive key having a keyed shaft slidingly engaged with the keyed bore and a knob connected to the drive key such that rotation of the knob causes displacement of the force application assembly.

The first and second layers may comprise different properties from one another and be formed from different materials including fabrics and polymeric materials. A polymeric film may be secured to the core or one of the layers to define at least part of a surface of the liner.

Compression garment

A compression garment for a limb is disclosed. The garment can include a body portion and a spine portion. Each of the body and spine portions can have a plurality of bands (e.g. bands for adjusting tension of the garment). The spine portion can be releasably attached onto the body portion such that the spine portion is positionable at different locations on the body portion to adjust a width of the garment. The bands of the body portion and/or of the spine portion can be trimmable and include a detachable fastener, whereby as a result the band can be caused to move to a plurality of different positions to adjust the garment to a plurality of different sized limbs (e.g. different sized feet).

The invention relates to a knee orthosis with an upper leg frame for arranging on an upper leg and a lower leg frame for arranging on a lower leg, wherein the lower leg frame is arranged on the upper leg frame such that it can be swivelled about a first swivel axis by means of at least one joint, and a calf pad for mounting on a calf, wherein the knee orthosis comprises at least one elastic bearing element that is attached in such a way that the bearing element is tensioned when the knee orthosis is mounted and, in this state, presses the calf pad either directly or indirectly against a calf of the wearer of the knee orthosis.

Methods and Devices for Supporting a Patient's Leg to Increase Comfort and Assist in Recovery

The present disclosure relates to a support system for patients recovering from medical procedures, including from total knee replacement surgery. The disclosed system may include a foot support unit which supports a patient's feet, where the foot support may have one or more leg grooves of a tapered height. The foot support may be placed in a patient's bed. Additionally hip support wedges may be placed beneath a patient's hip, where the hip supports provide the benefit of counteracting a leg's natural tendency to rotate outwards. The disclosed foot support and hip wedges promote proper alignment and in that way provide comfort and assist in recovery.
