Methods and apparatus for collecting fluids discharged from a urethra. An apparatus can include a housing with a rear and front portion a coupled together. A baseplate, inside the housing, includes an angled circumferential side surface adjacent to an inside surface of the housing, a main aperture, and a valve aperture extending through the baseplate. A discharge tube is coupled to the baseplate. An elastomeric tube extends from outside the housing to a termination point past the baseplate within the housing, the baseplate and the housing configured such that the collection tube is pinched and held in place between the baseplate angled circumferential side surface and an inside surface of the vented housing. One-way valves positioned in each valve aperture communicate air through the baseplate into the collection tube. A urethra tube, configured for collecting discharged urine, is positioned in a proximal end of the collection tube.

A device to collect urine and then store the urine securely and prevented from spilling is described in this application. A lid is provided to insure that the urine does not spill once it is collected. The urine is deposited into the container and will not spill from the vessel even if the vessel is knocked over because of a specifically insert that prevents the urine from spilling if the container is accidentally dropped. The user can easily empty the contents by tilting the container so that the urine flows through an opening in the specially tapered insert.

The IID may include a tray including a raised perimeter forming a seal between the user's body and the tray. The IID may include a fluid cavity configured to capture fluid from the user's body. The IID may include a pad including a slot configured to provide an unobstructed route to the fluid cavity. The device may include a fluid removal system configured to remove the fluid from the fluid cavity and route the fluid to a storage device. The fluid removal system may include a suction sub-system configured to pull the fluid against gravity to remove the fluid from the fluid cavity. The fluid removal system may include discharge hoses configured to fluidically and mechanically couple the IID to the storage device.

Non-invasive urinary aid
11304843 · 2022-04-19 ·

The presented invention describes a noninvasive urinary aid for persons with vaginas. Which allows persons with vaginas to urinate without leaking, disrobing, or wiping, in a standing position. The urinary aids are manufactured of a pliable silicone and may be used repeatedly. When in use, the inlet opening is placed between the labia, pressed around the urethral opening to form a leak proof seal which creates a passage for urine excretion beyond the wearer's clothing. This ensures all urine is guided, via the urethral cup and connected tubing, to the location desired for disposal. The vulva, upon completion of urination, will not need to be dried.
