The invention comprises a product. The product comprises a foam insulating panel, the panel having a first primary surface and an opposite second primary surface, wherein the foam insulating panel defines at least one recessed channel in the first primary surface, the at least one recessed channel being sized and shaped to provide a mold for a structural reinforcing member. The product also comprises a concrete panel formed on the first primary surface and filling the at least one recessed channel so as to provide a structural reinforcing member for the concrete panel. The product further comprises an elongate anchor member in the foam insulating panel and extending from the first primary surface of the foam insulating panel into the concrete panel. A method of making a composite reinforced insulated concrete structure is also disclosed.
Method to meter a thermal barrier upon a surface
A manner by which to form a thermal barrier upon a surface, utilizes a pneumatic blower to form a layer of thermal insulation material and a layer of radiant barrier material. The pneumatic blower is first charged with the thermal insulation material, and the thermal insulation material is metered upon the surface. Then, the pneumatic blower is charged with the radiant barrier material, and the radiant barrier material is metered upon the thermal insulation material.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR IMPROVING AIR QUALITY IN STREET CANYONS
A double skin façade (DSF) for a building is disclosed. The DSF has a first façade, a second façade, and a gap extending therebetween. Movement of air is driven in an upward direction toward an upper end of the DSF, causing movement of air contaminants from a lower end of the DSF to the upper end of the DSF, and thereby enhancing the air quality of the street canyon by removing air contaminants from a street level adjacent the building. Also disclosed is a building having a DSF, and a method of enhancing air quality in a street canyon by constructing a DSF on a building.
Systems and methods for controlling air properties in structures and inhibiting moisture accumulation and mold propagation in structures
A structure comprises at least one outer wall having an internal wall section and an outer wall section with an air flow passage therebetween. A circulation system circulates air through the flow passage to inhibit moisture accumulation and mold growth. A sensing system determines the presence of moisture in the flow passage and generates a signal in response thereto. A controller receives the signal from the sensing system and controls the circulation system to maintain a predetermined temperature and relative humidity in the flow passage.
KINETIC DOUBLE SKIN FAÇADE CONFIGURATED FOR PROVIDING HEATED AIR, AND NATURAL VENTILATION
An improved solar heater and ventilator device is disclosed. In one embodiment, the solar heater and ventilator system is a multi-functional device that can be used in a variety of ways to provide heat, produce and store electricity, and provide natural ventilation. In one embodiment, the device is comprised of a main frame, multiple columns of interconnected movable cubes and a distributor panel. Through the interconnected movable cubes, the solar heater and ventilator system can easily switch functionalities between a solar heater and a ventilator and cooling system. The device is easy and inexpensive to operate, as it does not require any external electricity, and its functionalities can be changed with simple touches of buttons
Special T-shaped column shear wall module, shear wall and construction method thereof
A T-shaped shear wall module including a straight pattern plate, two L-shaped pattern plates with a same structure, and connectors. Each of the two L-shaped pattern plates includes a first pattern plate and a second pattern plate which are perpendicular to each other. In a direction perpendicular to the straight pattern plate, the two first pattern plates are arranged in parallel to each other and both extend in a direction away from the straight pattern plate, and a plurality of connectors are rigidly arranged between two first pattern plates. Along a direction parallel to the straight pattern plate, two second pattern plates are coplanar and extend in opposite directions, and a plurality of connectors are rigidly arranged between the straight pattern plate and the two second pattern plates. The present application also provides a shear wall and a construction method thereof.
COMPOSITE ALUMINUM ALLOY PROFILE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
Disclosed are a composite aluminum alloy profile and a preparation method therefor. The composite aluminum alloy profile includes an outer decorative profile, a polyurethane elastomer structural adhesive, and an inner frame profile. The inner frame profile is an integral component of alkali-free glass fibers and polyurethane resin formed by one-time extrusion, and a cross section thereof is “”-shaped; and the outer decorative profile is connected to the inner frame profile through the polyurethane elastomer structural adhesive. The preparation method includes: preparing glass fibers and polyurethane materials of components A and B into a glass fiber resin reinforced profile by a compound strip-threading and injection machine, adhering the inner frame profile to the outer decorative profile through the polyurethane elastomer structural adhesive, and rolling the same. The profile has the features of heat and sound insulation and is easy to produce.
Highly Efficient Energy-saving House
A highly insulated house, wherein on the basis of current technology of house insulation, a connecting structure with function of thermal-break bridge is set between the door and window's outer frame and the house's frame and external wall, and in the multiple-layered insulating structure of the house there is set a structure of wooden insulating bars or plastic insulating bars filled with insulating fiber, also there is set a fastener with function of thermal-break bridge, thus the overall insulation performance of the house is further boosted; wherein overlapping water boards are set between the multiple-layered insulating blocks of the external wall and roof, and water-proofing insulating blocks are set at the house frame, thus more convenient water-proofing is realized; wherein adhesive tape and insulating plate are set at the inner side of the insulating blocks of external wall and roof, so more convenient air-sealing is realized; wherein insulating structures of thin film with the multiple-layered connection, and with the block-connection by manual sticking or welding, with the automatic block-connection by direct molding, or by flat brim addition, by straight brim addition, by web-shaped addition—are used, thus for a house already built as well as a new house realization of high insulation is convenient and fast.
