ENERGY STORAGE DEVICES
A hybrid supercapacitor where the charging state is indicated by color is demonstrated. The device comprises a molecular network that functions as both the battery-type electrode and the charge indicator. Related batteries, electrodes and devices, their processes of preparation and methods of use are provided as well. Further included in this invention are data-storage devices and catalysts based on multilayers comprising metal-ion organic complexes. This invention further provides methods of preparation of the multilayers, of the data-storage devices, of the catalyst devices and methods of use thereof.
ELECTROCHEMICAL DEVICE
An electrochemical device includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte having lithium ion conductivity. The positive electrode includes a positive current collector and a positive electrode mixture layer supported on the positive current collector. The positive electrode mixture layer contains a positive electrode active material reversibly doped with an anion. The negative electrode includes a negative current collector and a negative electrode mixture layer supported on the negative current collector. The negative electrode mixture layer contains a negative electrode active material reversibly doped with lithium ions. The negative electrode active material contains non-graphitizable carbon. A ratio Mp/Mn of a mass Mp of the positive electrode active material supported on a unit area of the positive electrode to a mass Mn of the negative electrode active material supported on a unit area of the negative electrode is in a range from 1.1 to 2.5, inclusive.
PREPREARATION AND APPLICATION OF 2,6-DIAMINOANTHRAQUINONE BIFUNCTIONAL GROUP COVALENTLY GRAFTED GRAPHENE AS NEGATIVE MATERIAL OF SUPERCAPACITOR
An electrode material of a supercapacitor includes a negative material prepared by the following steps: first dispersing graphite oxide in deionized water; after stirring and ultrasonic treatment, reducing the graphite oxide into reduced graphene oxide by using a hydrazine hydrate, and vacuum drying at 40-80° C.; dispersing the reduced graphene oxide in a DMF solution with 2,6-diaminoanthraquinone, and stirring and performing the ultrasonic treatment again; at 60-90° C., adding isoamyl nitrite, and reacting for 18-24 h; and washing reaction products with ethanol and deionized water for multiple times, and finally freeze drying to obtain a product.
Software management of EV battery modules
Single, internally adjustable modular battery systems are provided, for handling power delivery from and to various power systems such as electric vehicles, photovoltaic systems, solar systems, grid-scale battery energy storage systems, home energy storage systems and power walls. Batteries comprise a main fast-charging lithium ion battery (FC), configured to deliver power to the electric vehicle, a supercapacitor-emulating fast-charging lithium ion battery (SCeFC), configured to receive power and deliver power to the FC and/or to the EV and to operate at high rates within a limited operation range of state of charge (SoC), respective module management systems, and a control unit. Both the FC and the SCeFC have anodes based on the same anode active material and the control unit is configured to manage the FC and the SCeFC and manage power delivery to and from the power system(s), to optimize the operation of the FC.

Hydrophilic compositions
A process of forming a cross-linked electronically active hydrophilic co-polymer is provided and includes the steps of: a. mixing an intrinsically electronically active material and at least one compound of formula (I) with water to form an intermediate mixture; b. adding at least one hydrophilic monomer, at least one hydrophobic monomer, and at least one cross-linker to the intermediate mixture to form a co-monomer mixture; and c. polymerising the co-monomer mixture. INTEGRATED POLYMER MATERIALS FOR USE IN ELECTROCHEMICAL CELLS
There is provided herein a process of integrating electrically conductive material into a surface layer of an electrically conductive polymer, comprising the steps of including an electrically conductive material in a polymerisation mixture capable of forming an electrically conductive polymer, such that the material is provided across an uppermost and/or a lowermost region of the polymerisation mixture; and subsequently polymerising the polymerisation mixture. Also provided is an electrically conductive polymer and a supercapacitor formed using the process.

A housing part for an electrical device, which is an electrical storage device, a sensor housing, a battery, a microbattery, or a capacitor, the housing part including: a feedthrough, the housing part or a base body which is a part of the housing part including the feedthrough, the feedthrough having at least one opening, the at least one opening having a wall with a reduced enclosure length EL.sub.red, the at least one opening configured for receiving a conductive material or a conductor in a glass material or a glass-ceramic material, the reduced enclosure length EL.sub.red being in a range of 0.05 mm to 0.6 mm, 0.1 mm to 0.5 mm, 0.1 mm to 0.4 mm, or 0.15 mm to 0.2 mm.

A method of producing an engineered material includes depositing a graphene precursor on a substrate, pyrolyzing the graphene precursor to allow the formation of graphene, depositing a glassy carbon precursor the graphene, pyrolyzing to allow the formation of glassy carbon from the glassy carbon precursor, depositing a graphene precursor on the glassy carbon, and pyrolyzing the graphene precursor to allow the formation of graphene.
POSITIVE ELECTRODE PLATE AND ELECTROCHEMICAL DEVICE
The present invention relates to a positive electrode plate and an electrochemical device. The positive electrode plate comprises a current collector, a positive active material layer and a safety coating disposed between the current collector and the positive active material layer, and wherein the safety coating comprises a polymer matrix, a conductive material and an inorganic filler and wherein when the safety coating and the positive active material layer are collectively referred as a film layer, the film layer has an elongation of 30% or more and wherein the polymer matrix of the safety coating is fluorinated polyolefin and/or chlorinated polyolefin having a crosslinked structure. The positive electrode plate may improve the safety performance during nail penetration of the electrochemical device such as capacitor, primary battery or secondary battery and the like.
