Biosolid treatment process and system
11629301 · 2023-04-18 · ·

A biosolids treatment system that treats human biosolids to produce thermal energy for self-consumption for the production of beneficial use products including low carbon ash, high carbon activated biochar, and Class A biosolids. The system includes a variable feed conveyor that conveys a biosolid feed into a dryer; a dryer that dries the biosolid feed to a predetermined moisture content to create one of a beneficial use products, where the predetermined moisture content is controlled by varying the speed of variable feed conveyors and a variable feed mixer; and a gasifier that converts the biosolid feed into two of the beneficial use products.

Waste processing

The present invention relates generally to the field of waste processing. The method comprises separating waste into at least two parts, comprising: (i) mainly food waste (fines) and (ii) mainly paper and other recyclable material (overs). The overs are pulped and washed to obtain a cellulose-rich biomass and the fines are optionally processed separately to recover a cellulose-rich biomass and the cellulose-rich biomass from both the fines and the overs may be combined.

Microorganisms and bioprocesses are provided that convert gaseous substrates, such as renewable H.sub.2 and waste CO.sub.2 producer gas, or syngas into high-protein biomass that may be used directly for human nutrition, or as a nutrient for plants, fungi, or other microorganisms, or as a source of soil carbon, nitrogen, and other mineral nutrients. Renewable H.sub.2 used in the processes described herein may be generated by electrolysis using solar or wind power. Producer gas used in the processes described herein may be derived from sources that include gasification of waste feedstock and/or biomass residue, waste gas from industrial processes, or natural gas, biogas, or landfill gas.

Enhanced microbial and biorational control of nematode pests of plants

This disclosure describes a biological system of plant growth promotion, pest resistance and disease resistance by application of strains of T. viride, Trichoderma harzianum K2, Bacillus amyloliquifaciens AS2, Bacillus amyloliquifaciens AS3, or a combination thereof. These strains can be used in conventional or organic agriculture for the promotion nematode resistance when applied topically as a foliar spray or as a seed coating. The highly active strains also are expected to increase plant productivity and improve quality of fruits, vegetables, flowers or other plant products.

PROCESS FOR PRODUCING TOPSOIL AND COMPOST AND TOPSOIL AND COMPOST PRODUCTS
20230110330 · 2023-04-13 ·

A process for producing compost that includes the steps of providing a supply of vegetable matter selected from the group of vegetable matter consisting of trees, stumps, brush, leaves and animal manure, agitating the vegetable matter to loosen and remove dirt associated with the vegetable matter and reducing the size of the vegetable matter. A variable amount of the vegetable matter is incinerated to produce a fine ash and the vegetable matter is combined with the ash. A process for producing topsoil includes the step of adding dirt to the vegetable matter/ash combination. Compost and topsoil products are also disclosed.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF CONTROLLABLE SEPARATION BETWEEN RECYCLABLE ORGANIC WASTE FROM GARBAGE DISPOSAL AND KITCHEN SINK GRAYWATER SEWAGE

A system of controllable separation between recyclable organic waste and graywater sewage is described; a respective method for controllable separating recyclable organic waste from graywater sewage is further described; the system includes: a garbage disposal unit, and a separation module; the method includes: draining both the graywater sewage and the recyclable organic waste; processing the organic waste into a semiliquid mixture or slurry of round organic matter and fluid; discharging the semiliquid mixture or slurry of ground organic matter and fluid and the graywater sewage; and releasing the semiliquid mixture or slurry of ground organic matter and fluid; releasing the graywater sewage; and separating the semiliquid mixture or slurry of ground organic matter and fluid from the graywater sewage.

System and method for treating excrement of livestock

A system for treating excrement of livestock includes: reduced-pressure fermentation drying equipment configured to store excrement of livestock in an airtight container, heat and stir the excrement of livestock under reduced pressure so that a temperature of the excrement of livestock is within a predetermined temperature range, decompose organic components of organic matter using microorganisms, and obtain volume-reduced dried product; and heat source equipment that is provided on a downstream side of the reduced-pressure fermentation drying equipment and generates a heat source by combusting the obtained volume-reduced dried product.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS FOR PRODUCING AMMONIA FROM ANAEROBIC DIGESTATE LIQUID
20230150894 · 2023-05-18 ·

The present invention relates to organic nitrogen fertilizers and methods for producing organic nitrogen fertilizers, including retrieving high concentration organic ammonia from discarded organic material.

System and method for reprocessing animal bedding
11649193 · 2023-05-16 · ·

A method and system reprocess soiled animal bedding material commingled with animal manure. In one aspect the soiled animal bedding material is separated in a shaker to send at least a preponderance of the manure to a holding tank. In another aspect the bedding is cleaned, rinsed and color is restored. The bedding material is subsequently dried and a bedding product, fertilizer product, and/or compacted product is formed. Alternatively, said bedding material is dried (without a compacting step) to form a product. In yet another aspect, the steps of separation, cleaning, rinsing and/or color restoration may be omitted.

BIOMASS CONVERSION REACTORS AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Systems and methods associated with biomass decomposition are generally described. Certain embodiments are related to adjusting a flow rate of a fluid comprising oxygen into a reactor in which biomass is decomposed. The adjustment may be made, at least in part, based upon a measurement of a characteristic of the reactor and/or a characteristic of the biomass. Certain embodiments are related to cooling at least partially decomposed biomass. The biomass may be cooled by flowing a gas over an outlet conduit in which the biomass is cooled, and then directing the gas to a reactor after it has flowed over the outlet conduit. Certain embodiments are related to systems comprising a reactor and an outlet conduit configured such that greater than or equal to 75% of its axially projected cross-sectional area is occupied by a conveyor. Certain embodiments are related to systems comprising a reactor comprising an elongated compartment having a longitudinal axis arranged substantially vertically and an outlet conduit comprising a conveyor.
