Communication device, information processing system, information processing method, and computer program
A communication device is provided with: a first communication part that is connected to an energy storage device or a power supply related apparatus and communicates with the energy storage device or the power supply related apparatus; an acquisition part that acquires information including a state of the energy storage device or the power supply related apparatus on the basis of a set timing; a change acceptance part that accepts a change in the timing and changes the timing; and a transmission part that transmits, at a timing after the change, the information acquired by the acquisition part to a first apparatus by using a second communication part communicatively connected to the first apparatus.
Extended control plan and implementation in control systems and methods for economical optimization of an electrical system
The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for economically optimal control of an electrical system. A two-stage controller includes an optimizer and a high speed controller to effectuate a change to one or more components of the electrical system. The high speed controller receives a set of control parameters for an upcoming extended time period. The control parameters include a plurality of bounds for an adjusted net power of the electrical system. The high speed controller sets an energy storage system command control variable (ESS command) based on a state of adjusted net power of the electrical system and the set of control parameters.
Management system, management method, operation terminal and control device
A management system comprises an operation terminal configured to perform a remote operation of an equipment; and a control device configured to receive an access request from the operation terminal and transmit a request command to the equipment in response to the reception of the access request. The operation terminal comprises a user interface configured to notify a user of information specifying an expiration timing of a response waiting timer that defines a transmission interval or a reception interval of the request command.
Virtualization of large-scale energy storage
A hardware processor may be coupled to a communication network and receive charging requests and discharging requests from a plurality of prosumer facilities via the communication network. One or more energy storage systems may be coupled to an energy grid and able to charge from and discharge to the energy grid, and may communicate with the hardware processor via the communication network. Based on the charging requests and discharging requests, an energy schedule may be generated. The energy schedule may include a first set of the prosumer facilities from which charge requests are accepted, and a second set of prosumer facilities from which discharge requests are accepted. One or several energy storage systems may be controlled or triggered to charge or discharge repeatedly via the energy grid according to an updated energy schedule (e.g., regularly updated).
EVALUATION DEVICE, COMPUTER PROGRAM, AND EVALUATION METHOD
This evaluation device comprises: a mathematical model acquisition unit that acquires a mathematical model expressing the state of a power storage element; an operation data acquisition unit that acquires operation data which includes time-series input data input during operation of a system constructed on the basis of the numerical model, and time-series output data output by the system on the basis of the time-series input data; a processing unit that inputs the time-series input data to the numerical model and executes processing causing time-series model output data to be output from the numerical model; and an evaluation unit that evaluates the design and the operation of the system on the basis of the time-series output data and the time-series model output data.
Battery energy storage system and microgrid controller
This invention is directed to systems and methods that track a specified stored energy level profile for a BESS in a microgrid. The systems and methods including using a control algorithm that tracks the stored energy level profile for the BESS. The controller algorithm includes a Kalman Filter design for a model-based state reconstruction to overcome sensor/communication errors during real-time operation. The latter is important to guarantee the ability of the microgrid to continue its seamless operation during periods of erroneous sensor measurements or flawed communication.
Methods, systems, and computer readable media for protecting and controlling a microgrid with a dynamic boundary
Methods, systems, and computer readable mediums for protecting and controlling a microgrid with a dynamic boundary are disclosed. One method includes detecting a fault in a microgrid that includes a dynamic point-of-common-coupling (PCC), in response to determining that the microgrid is operating in a grid-connected mode, isolating the fault by tripping a microgrid side smart switch and a grid side smart switch that are located immediately adjacent to the fault, initiating the reclosing of the grid side smart switch, and initiating the reclosing for the microgrid side smart switch via resynchronization if the grid side smart switch is successfully reclosed, and in response to determining that the microgrid is operating in an islanded mode, isolating the fault by tripping a microgrid side smart switch that is located immediately adjacent to the fault, and initiating the reclosing of the microgrid side smart switch.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LOAD AND SOURCE FORECASTING FOR INCREASING ELECTRICAL GRID COMPONENT LONGEVITY
A system and method for optimizing power grid operations and enhancing the life of switching components therein is provided. Current meteorological information of a region of operation of the power grid is collected during operation thereof, along with historical meteorological data of the region. A plurality of prediction models are executed using the current meteorological information and/or the historical meteorological data and a meteorological parameter of the region is forecast by selectively combining outputs of at least some of the executed prediction models, the meteorological parameter being a parameter that causes a renewable energy source in the power grid to generate power. The forecasted meteorological parameter is compensated with physical models and the historical meteorological data, and optimal switching operations of switching components in the power grid are computed based on the compensated forecasted meteorological parameter, with the switching components being controlled based on the computed optimal switching operations.
