JEWEL, IN PARTICULAR FOR A HOROLOGICAL MOVEMENT, AND THE MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
A method for manufacturing a jewel of the polycrystalline type, in particular for a timepiece, the jewel including, for example, poly-ruby of the type al2O3Cr or Zirconia of the type ZrO2, the method including a first step of producing a precursor, and a second step of pressing the precursor in order to form a body, the pressing being carried out using a pressing device provided with an upper die and a lower die defining a pressing space in which the precursor is disposed, the device being provided with a wire passing through at least part of the lower die to open out into the pressing space, the lower die being capable of sliding about the wire, the pressing taking place by bringing the lower die and the upper die closer to one another to form a body comprising a bottom face provided with a hole.
GEMSTONE SETTINGS AND SETTING METHODS
Set gemstones, gemstone settings, and methods of setting gemstones including a cut gemstone having a girdle a plurality of horizontal grooves each having an upper edge and a lower edge, wherein the upper edges of the plurality of horizontal grooves are located within the girdle, abut a lower edge of the girdle, or are within 1 millimeter beneath the lower edge of the girdle, and a cylindrical barrel having a central aperture, an open top, a rim at the top forming an upper edge of the barrel, and a plurality of flanges projecting into the central aperture of the barrel located directly beneath the rim, wherein the flanges project into the grooves to maintain the gemstone within the barrel.
PIECE OF JEWELLERY, METHOD FOR CUTTING A STONE, IN PARTICULAR A DIAMOND, AND ASSOCIATED MOUNTING PIN
A round stone is intended for being inserted contiguously with other similar stones to as to conceal the setting of the stones. Facets are bevel-formed between the girdle and the pavilion. Grooves, open at the two ends thereof, are formed, as by sawing in a plane perpendicular to the axis, in the facets to receive the setting claws.
GEMSTONE CUT
A gemstone cut into a round or modified round shape have a total of 81 facets. The gemstone includes a crown and a bottom separated by a girdle. The crown includes a table surrounded by 16 star facets. The 16 star facets are surrounded by 8 primary bezel facets, and 8 secondary bezel facets. The 8 primary and secondary bezel facets are surrounded by 16 primary upper girdle facets such that the crown has a total of 48 facets surrounding the table. A bottom of the gemstone has a culet surrounded by 8 primary and 8 secondary pavilion facets. The 8 primary and secondary pavilion facets are surrounded by 16 lower girdle facets therebetween. The bottom has a total of 32 facets surrounding the culet. Including the table this gemstone may have a total of 81 facets which may be surrounded by the girdle.
Decorative piece produced by setting on amorphous metal
The present invention relates to a decorative piece comprising a support produced in a material which does not include plastic deformation and in which at least one hollow is provided, characterised in that said hollow being filled with a first material being an at least partially amorphous alloy forming a substrate in which at least one housing is provided, said at least one housing being designed so that at least one aesthetic element can be housed therein.
GEMSTONE
The present invention provides a gemstone comprising a girdle dividing the gemstone into a pavilion and a crown having a table surface; a tier of facets cut into the pavilion at a position immediately below the girdle; and a continuous groove. The groove facilitates mounting to a collet having a mounting rim. The continuous groove is located in the tier of the facets cut into the pavilion. The placement of the tier of facets and continuous groove does not obstruct light return.
Gemstone and methods of cutting the same
A gemstone includes a crown, a pavilion, and a girdle disposed between the crown and the pavilion. The girdle has a pear-shaped cross-section with a rounded end a tapered end narrower than the rounded end. The surface of the gemstone is generally divided into a number of groups of interlocking facets disposed at a variety of angles. The groups of facets comprising the surface of the crown generally include star facets, upper intermediate crown facets, lower intermediate crown facets, main crown facets, and upper girdle facets. The upper girdle facets generally abut an upper edge of the girdle. The groups of facets comprising the surface of the pavilion include culet-adjacent facets, candle facets, main pavilion facets, and lower girdle facets. The lower girdle facets generally abut a lower edge of the girdle.

Invisible setting and methods and tools for effecting same
A mounting holds a grooved gemstone invisibly to a setting. One end of the mounting has arms or extensions to receive the gemstone and protrusions extending inwardly from the arms to fit in the grooves of the gemstone, the mounting further comprising a holding configuration for holding the mounting to the setting. Insertion of the mounting into the setting may in one version distort the holding configuration and levers the arms to press harder into the groove.
