Absorbent sheet and absorbent article
An absorbent member (20) includes an absorbent sheet (10) in which absorbent polymer (12) is fixed to a base sheet (11) and a cover sheet (21) covering at least a first surface of the absorbent sheet (10). The absorbent sheet (10) has an absorbent polymer fixing proportion of 40% or more. The absorbent member (20) has high fixing performance of the absorbent polymer (12) to the base sheet (11) and is less likely to suffer from detachment of the absorbent polymer (12) even after liquid absorption. The absorbent polymer (12) is preferably fixed to the base sheet (11) with a base sheet fixing adhesive (13) interposed therebetween. The adhesive (13) is preferably an acrylic, silicone-based or rubber-based adhesive, and is preferably a hot-melt adhesive.
IMPROVED ACQUISITION DISTRIBUTION LAMINATE
The present invention relates to a nonwoven acquisition distribution layer comprising: a) layered carded webs wherein the first layer comprises a carded web with high denier fibers wherein the denier is greater than about 5 d and a second layer comprising a carded web with low denier fibers wherein the denier is less than about 5 d and is positioned just below and in direct contact with the first layer; and b) a deflection layer comprising a fibrous nonwoven web wherein the fibrous nonwoven web has at least one component comprising meltblown, said meltblown having a basis weight of from about 15 gsm to about 50 gsm and having an air permeability of from about 45 ft.sup.3/min/ft.sup.2 to about 350 ft.sup.3/min/ft.sup.2; and wherein the deflection layer is positioned just below and in direct contact with said second layer of said layered carded web.
DEBRIDING WOUND DRESSING, PROCESS OF MANUFACTURE AND USEFUL ARTICLES THEREOF
This invention describes a wound dressing product for active continuous debridement of devitalized tissues in non-healing wounds including diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, burn injuries and other etiologies. The present invention pertains to the principle of continuous wound debridement which makes necrotic tissue more susceptible for removal and hence enhances progressive wound healing. The dressing contains an active ingredient, such as collagenase which serves to debride wounds in-situ. In the present invention purified Collagenase (90% pure) was deposited onto several wound dressing materials. A key feature of this invention is that the activity level of the Collagenase used was substantially preserved.
Absorbent article with high absorbent material content
An absorbent article includes a longitudinal axis extending in a longitudinal direction of the article, a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and backsheet. The absorbent core includes a combination of superabsorbent polymer and cellulose fibers. The article further includes an acquisition-distribution layer; and at least one channel positioned within a layer located between the topsheet and the backsheet, the at least one channel being substantially free of fibers and superabsorbent polymer. An indentation occurs in at least one of the topsheet and the backsheet that correspond to the at least one channels when the article is loaded with fluid.
METHOD TO RECYCLE POLYESTER-BASED NONWOVEN TO STAPLE FIBER
Contrary to packagings or bottles made of pure materials like PET, nonwovens usually consist of a mix of materials and are as such difficult to include in a recycling process. The present invention relates to a method for recycling polyester-based nonwovens comprising 5 to 50% of PET/coPET low melt staple fibers into polyester staple fibers (PSF), and further including these fibers into new nonwovens for a large variety of articles for applications in virtually any technical field.
Absorbent products having an absorber with a body fluid inflow portion and a superabsorbent resin
An absorber includes a concave groove-shaped body fluid inflow portion along a longitudinal direction of an incontinence pad and over a range in the longitudinal direction including a body fluid discharge portion of a wearer, and a granular powder superabsorbent resin is arranged at least on a side edge portion of the absorber and over the range in the longitudinal direction including the body fluid inflow portion. Since the body fluid flowing into the body fluid inflow portion is diffused and is absorbed and held in the superabsorbent resin on the side edge portion of the absorber, it is possible to provide an adequate absorbed amount in the absorber despite the concave groove in the absorber. Even when the superabsorbent resin becomes swollen with absorbed body fluid, the body fluid inflow portion is not blocked, with the result that the absorption speed is not reduced.
COMPOSITE ABSORBER, AND POLYMER ABSORBENT
A composite absorber for absorbing liquid, the composite absorber having: a polymer absorbent having a hydrophilic continuous skeleton and continuous pores; and a highly absorbent polymer, wherein the polymer absorbent contains at least a COOH group and COONa group as an ion exchange group, and the total ion exchange capacity of the COOH group and COONa group per mass in a dry state is at least 4.0 mg equivalent/g.
ABSORBENT STRUCTURE FOR ABSORBENT ARTICLES
Absorbent structures for diapers are provided, comprising, immobilized onto a supporting sheet, an absorbent layer with absorbent material containing superabsorbent polymer particles and therein, in the front region, a first and a second substantially longitudinal channel, each being free of said superabsorbent polymeric particles, for improved fit and/or performance throughout the use thereof.
Absorbent article with a slitted absorbent core
The invention relates to slit absorbent articles and the use of slits in absorbent materials to provide improved liquid intake rate, flexibility and softness compared to the unmodified material. The absorbent material, including superabsorbent materials, are particularly useful as absorbent cores in disposable absorbent articles such as diapers, incontinent products, sanitary napkins and the like.
Absorbing articles comprising water absorbing resin and method for producing the same
Absorbing articles comprises water absorbing resin including a water-soluble unsaturated monomer, having a dissociable group, as a main component in a repeating unit of a main chain and an internal cross-linked structure, in which a cross-linked structure index represented by the formula [Cross-linked structure index=(Equilibrium swelling capacity with respect to 0.9% by weight of brine).sup.1/3/(Weight average molecular weight after hydrolysis treatment)1,000,000] is 14 or more, a weight average molecular weight after hydrolysis treatment is 220,000 or less, and a molecular weight distribution after hydrolysis treatment is 3.40 or less, and a method for producing the same.
