In one embodiment, an absorbent body may comprise a top layer comprising a liquid permeable web material, a bottom layer comprising a web material, and a reinforcement layer disposed between the top layer and the bottom layer. The absorbent body may further comprise a first absorbent layer disposed between the reinforcement layer and the bottom layer, the first absorbent layer comprising absorbent material which comprises substantially only superabsorbent material and a second absorbent layer disposed between the top layer and the reinforcement layer, the second absorbent layer comprising absorbent material which comprises absorbent material. The body may also comprise adhesive disposed between the top layer and the second absorbent layer, between the second absorbent layer and the reinforcement layer, and between the first absorbent layer and the bottom layer.
ABSORBENT CORE AND ABSORBENT ARTICLES COMPRISING SAID CORE
An absorbent core comprising: a front portion; a back portion; a middle portion positioned between the front portion and the back portion; and a longitudinal axis extending along a length of said core and crossing said front, middle and back portions, the absorbent core having a width extending perpendicular to said length and a perimeter comprising at least two opposing ends and at least two opposing sides positioned between said ends, said core being a multi-layer core comprising at least two distinct core layers, wherein a first core layer comprises a channel having a first shape and a second core layer comprises a further channel having a second shape and wherein the first and second core layers are disposed one on top of the other such that a third channel shape is formed along said core length and width, and wherein said first and second shapes are substantially the same and are different to said third shape.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
A folded absorbent article including a fluid permeable topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core including at least two core layers located between the topsheet and the backsheet, an upper core layer and one or more underlying core layer(s). The upper core layer is located between the topsheet and the one or more underlying core layer(s) and the topsheet and the backsheet extend together laterally outside the absorbent core. The absorbent core has a transversal width of a transition between a front portion and an intermediate portion of the core that is narrower than a transversal width of the rest of the core. A first end portion of the article is folded about a first transversal fold line over a central area of the article, the first fold line coinciding with or being adjacent the narrow transversal transition between the front portion and the intermediate portion of the core.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article includes a polymer sheet (4) where a superabsorbent polymer (12) is disposed between an upper layer sheet (10) disposed on a skin side and a lower layer sheet (11) disposed on a non-skin side. The diffusion area of the lower layer sheet (11) is 1500 mm.sup.2 or greater. The diffusion area is measured by an absorption test method including: (1) preparing a specimen with a size of 100 mm100 mm, (2) placing a tip of a buret at a height of 10 mm above a surface of the specimen, and dropping one droplet of ion-exchanged water from the buret, and (3) after 3 minutes from a time when the droplet reaches the surface of the specimen, measuring, as the diffusion area, an area of a region of the surface of the specimen where a reflection from water is clearly visible.
ERGONOMIC DISPOSABLE ABSORBENT GARMENT WITH ABSORBENT CORE ASSEMBLY
A disposable undergarment is disclosed. The undergarment includes a chassis and an absorbent core assembly. The chassis includes a front section, a crotch section and a rear section and elastic threads in those sections. The absorbent core is located in the crotch section, with portions of it extending into the front and rear sections. The core assembly includes a first or upper section of including plural pockets of a free slow acting but high absorbency SAP, and a second or underlying second section including plural pockets of a free fast acting by lower absorbency SAP. The SAP of the upper and lower sections exhibits various characteristics to facilitate to effective and efficient absorption of a fluid insult into the core assembly.
TOPSHEETS INTEGRATED WITH HETEROGENOUS MASS LAYER
An absorbent article and method of making the absorbent article are disclosed. The absorbent article having a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core structure having one or more layers wherein at least one layer is a heterogeneous mass layer, wherein the topsheet and the heterogeneous mass are integrated such that they reside in the same X-Y plane.
Absorbent products comprising foam material
An absorbent product includes a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, and an absorbent core enclosed between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent core includes an absorbent fibrous layer and a liquid inlet foam layer and the absorbent core includes a transversally central liquid inlet region extending in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent core. Within the liquid inlet region, the liquid inlet foam layer is covered by a plurality of inlet openings and has a transversal width, which is equal to, or up to 9 mm smaller than, the minimum transversal width of the absorbent fibrous layer. The liquid inlet foam layer also has side edge regions arranged in front and rear portions of the absorbent core transversally outside of the liquid inlet region, and within which the liquid inlet foam layer is free from liquid inlet openings.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES HAVING ABSORBENT LAMINATES AND HIGH-BULK, LOW SHEAR TOPSHEETS
An absorbent article includes a liquid-permeable nonwoven topsheet having a bulk greater than or equal to 10 cm.sup.3/g, a backsheet, and one or more absorbent laminates disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet. Each of the laminate(s) can comprise one or more substrate laminae, each comprising a nonwoven or tissue, and one or more absorbent laminae, each comprising SAP particles.
MULTILAYER BLADDER CONTROL PAD
The absorbent pad has a first layer, a second layer, and a third layer. Each layer of the pad has a liquid impervious back sheet. The backsheet or outer layer, which faces away from the wearer when the absorbent article is secured to the wearer, is composed of a moisture-impervious, flexible material. Further, each layer has a moisture pervious inner layer and an absorbent core positioned in between the inner layer and back sheet. The layers are coupled to each other via an adhesive.
