Agricultural systems having stalk sensors and data visualization systems and related devices and methods
The disclosure relates to agricultural systems. The systems have stalk sensor assemblies and/or data visualization systems. The stalk sensor assemblies are configured for assessing the size and other characteristics about crops, such as corn and other grains entering an agricultural implement, such as a harvester. The stalk sensor assemblies may use an estimation of the stalk perimeter to establish stalk size and therefore further features about the crop. The visualization system utilizes data from the stalk sensor assemblies to calculate and display relevant information about the crop.
TORQUE DAMPER FOR AGRICULTURAL HARVESTER HEADER
A drive system of a header for an agricultural vehicle. The header includes a plurality of driven devices. The drive system includes a shaft configured for conveying motive power from the agricultural vehicle to the header, a gearbox configured for being located on the header and for transferring motive power to the plurality of driven devices, and a torque damper. The torque damper is operably connected in between the shaft and the gearbox. The torque damper is configured for reducing a magnitude of a torque spike.
Crop releasing feeder chain slat
A combine feeder assembly having conveyors and slats pivotally connected to the conveyors to rotate about respective slat pivot axes. Each slat has a paddle that is movable between a first position in which the paddle extends outside the travel path of the conveyor by a first distance, and a second position in which the paddle does not extend outside the travel path or extends outside the travel path by a second distance that is less than the first distance. A cam surface moves the slats to the first slat position along a delivery path of the conveyors. A first housing wall extends over the delivery path and is spaced from the travel path by at least the first distance. A second housing wall extends over a return path. The second housing wall is spaced from the travel path by less than the first distance.
RAPID STALK STRENGTH ASSESSMENT
A system for post-harvest or at-harvest determination of pre-harvest strength of a corn stalk wherein the system comprises a stalk stump cutter structured and operable to cut a discarded post-harvest stalk stump to provide a substantially flat and even cross-sectional surface of the stalk stump, an imaging device structured and operable to acquire image data of the stalk stump cross-section, and a computer based data processing system structured and operable to analyze the image data and determine a pre-harvest stalk strength of the corresponding stalk.
RAPID STALK STRENGTH ASSESSMENT

PIVOTING APPARATUS FOR ROW HEAD
row crop heads and pivoting assemblies associated with the row crop heads operable to displace a crop divider of the row crop heads during folding of a portion of the row crop head are disclosed. In some implementations, a pivoting assembly may include a first bracket coupled to a center frame of a row crop head, a second bracket coupled to a wing frame of the row crop head, and a rotatable locking component rotatably coupled to the first bracket. The rotatable locking component is operable to lock a row divider disposed at an interface between the wing frame and the center frame when the wing frame is moved from an unfolded position to a folded position relative to the center frame.
Multi-positional stalk stomper
A multi-positional stalk stomper assembly for attaching a stalk stomper to a toolbar of a farm implement comprises a mounting bracket and a pivotal shoe assembly. The mounting bracket is adaptable to be attached to the toolbar of the farm implement and includes a rectangular plate, the plate having first and second major sides, the first side engageable with the toolbar. A first connecting member outwardly extends perpendicular from the second major side of the plate. The shoe assembly includes a torsion spring assembly, a second connecting member outwardly extending from the torsion spring assembly, the second connecting member mateable with the first connecting member, a shoe bracket pivotally connected to the torsion spring assembly, and a downwardly extending shoe attached to the shoe bracket. Upon mating the second connecting member with the first connecting member, the shoe assembly is lockable to the mounting bracket at a selected position.
Cutlery apparatus
A cutlery apparatus that is configured to provide efficient removal of corn kernels from a corn cob. The cutlery apparatus includes a support member that is planar in manner having an upper surface and a perimeter edge. A first brace member and a second brace member are mounted to the upper surface of the support member and further include a void therebetween. The first brace member and second brace member are parallel to each other and angularly oriented on the support member. A cutting member is provided wherein the cutting member has a first portion disposed within the void and a second portion extending beyond the perimeter edge of the support member. The second portion of the cutting member is a metal blade. A clamp member extends across the void and is movably secured to the first brace member and second brace member.
Composite stalk roll
A stalk roll for a corn harvester has a first portion including a first material having a first material density, and a second portion including a second material having a second material density. The first density is at least fifty percent greater than the second density, or the first tensile strength is at least fifty percent greater than the second tensile strength. The first portion includes a support portion that engages a drive shaft, a first radial portion extending radially outward from the support portion, a first blade connected to the first radial portion, a second radial portion extending radially outward from the support portion opposite the first radial portion, and a second blade connected to the second radial portion. The first and second blade portions engage a corn stalk. The second portion is positioned between the first radial portion and the second radial portion.
Crop divider for a corn header
A crop dividing device for an agricultural header including a hood and a divider connected to the hood. The divider includes a base member pivotally connected to the hood. The base member includes a receiving section. The divider also includes an ear dam member receivable in the receiving section. The ear dam member is positionable in between a first position for increasing an overall slope of the divider and a second position for decreasing the overall slope of the divider. The ear dam member is connected to the receiving section in the first position, and the ear dam member is connected to one of the hood and base member in the second position.
