Each elongate tab comprises an attached portion by which the tab is attached to a first layer of the layered structure and a fastening portion provided for releasably engaging a landing zone on the absorbent article. Each tab is made of a predetermined material which is deformable by an energy source. The attached portion comprises a plurality of surface protrusions integrally formed of said material, each of said surface protrusions comprising a base portion and a head portion above the base portion. The attached portion is attached to said layer by deformed head portions of at least some of said surface protrusions. In a method for manufacturing such article, the attachment involves deforming head portions of the surface protrusions.
PANTS-TYPE DISPOSABLE DIAPER
A diaper 1 has a disposal tape 10 on its outer surface. The disposal tape 10 is composed of a fixed portion 12, an extensible portion 15, and a fastening portion 18 arranged in that order along the longitudinal direction X1 of the disposal tape 10 and Z-folded in that order. Unfolded, the extensible portion 15 is extensible in the longitudinal direction X1 of the disposal tape 10. The disposal tape 10 in the unfolded configuration has a first connection region 31 where the extensible portion 15 and the fastening portion overlap and a second connection region 32 where the extensible portion 15 and the fixed portion 12 overlap. At least one of the first and second connection regions has a bonded region 33 and a non-bonded region 36 where the extensible portion 15 and the fastening portion 18 or fixed portion 12 are not bonded, the non-bonded region 36 being located longitudinally proximal to the bonded region 33.
Disposable wearing article
A diaper has vertical and lateral directions, and a skin facing surface and a non-skin facing surface on an opposite side thereof, includes a front waist region, a rear waist region, a crotch region positioned between the front and rear waist regions, and includes a pair of leg openings, and a waist opening defined by side edges of the front and rear waist regions. At least one of the front and rear waist regions includes a pair of tape fasteners fixed to the non-skin facing surface of the side edges. At least one of the front and rear waist regions includes a pocket openable toward the crotch region, on the skin facing surface. An upper end of a fixing part of the tape fastener is positioned at a lower side of a closing edge (folding part) positioned on the waist opening side of the pocket in the vertical direction.
SECURE DISPOSAL BAGS
A disposal bag (1) is disclosed of generally rectangular two-layer construction, with the layers sealed together at their edges on three sides of the rectangle (2, 3, 4). The side walls of the bag are overlaid on the openable side of the bag with extensions (5) which taper inwardly from the edges of the bag and extend outwardly to overlie the outer walls of the bag. The narrower end of each extension (5) is securely fastened to the exterior side wall of the bag at a position (6) so as to form a tunnel (7) each side of the bag into which the thumb and at least one finger may be inserted. At least one of the inside walls of the bag, at the open end of the bag or slightly inset from the open end of the bag, carries a continuous stripe of adhesive material, overlaid by a peel-off strip (9) of release-coated material. The adhesive material is of such a nature that once the peel-off strip (9) has been removed and the sides of the bag are brought into contact with one another, they bond together immediately to seal the disposal bag. The bag is of particular use for disposal of ostomy bags, tampons, sanitary or incontinence towels, catheters and condoms.
DISPOSABLE COMPOSTABLE DIAPER AND FULFILLMENT SERVICE
A disposable diaper having a first sheet of viscose fiber material disposed against a child's skin, an acquisition and diffusion layer (ADL) interposed over top of the first sheet of viscose fiber, a coating layer of tissue fiber interposed over top of the ADL layer, an absorbency core layer interposed over top of the coating layer, a permeable layer of polymer film interposed over top of the absorbency core layer, and a second sheet of viscose fiber material overlaid over top of the permeable polymer film layer, the second sheet functioning as the exterior sheet of the disposable diaper.
Adhesive Tape Assemblies
Various fastener tape assemblies are described, which may be used in the manufacture of disposable articles, and particularly disposable articles. The fastener tape assemblies comprise a fastening component and a connecting component. The connecting component further comprises an extension component and a bonding component. The fastener tape assemblies provide a new folding configuration. In some embodiments, be essentially free of adhesive. In other embodiments, the face of the extension component may be at least partially covered by an adhesive. Also described are disposable articles utilizing the fastener tape assemblies the face of the extension component may described herein.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME
An absorbent article comprises a layered structure with an absorbent material sandwiched between at least two layers of the structure, and at least one elongate tab. In a method for manufacturing such article, the attachment involves deforming head portions of the surface protrusions
DISPOSABLE BABY CHANGING PAD SYSTEM AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
A disposable baby changing pad system includes a changing pad body extending from a top end to a bottom end and being composed of a thin, flexible material, the changing pad body further having a pocket formed on a top surface of the changing pad body, the pocket having a top layer sealing an interior area of the pocket; an opening extending into the interior area from the top layer; one or more wipes sealed within the pocket; and a diaper positioned on the top surface of the changing pad body; the changing pad body folds around the pocket and the diaper.
