METHODS OF MAKING LAMINATES FOR ABSORBENT ARTICLES
A method of making a laminate for an absorbent article is provided. The laminate comprises elastic elements disposed at least partially intermediate two substrates. The first substrate has a primary fiber bond pattern formed therein and comprising a plurality of primary fiber bonds. The method comprises forming densified regions in the first substrate. A perimeter of each of the densified regions is larger than a perimeter of each of the primary fiber bonds. The densified regions together form a pattern of densified regions in the first substrate. The method comprises adhesively attaching the elastic elements to the first substrate, joining the second substrate to the first substrate or to some of the elastic elements, and forming a plurality of rugosities in the first substrate by allowing the elastic elements to at least partially contract. The frequency and amplitude ranges of the rugosities result from the pattern of the densified regions.
Absorbent article with tackifier-free adhesive
Disposable absorbent articles assembled from a collection of components using an adhesive comprising an amorphous polyolefin composition and a heterophase polyolefin composition comprising amorphous character and crystalline blocks.
UNDERPANTS-TYPE DISPOSABLE DIAPER
A diaper (1) includes, on an outer surface, a disposal tape (10). The disposal tape (10) includes a fixing part (12), an extensible part (15), and an attachment part (18) in sequence in the longitudinal direction (X1) of the disposal tape (10) and is folded in three stacked in the sequence. The attachment part (18) and the extensible part (15) are releasably joined, and the extensible part (15) and the fixing part (12) are also releasably joined. The attachment part (18) starts to extend at a tensile strength higher than the tensile strength at which the extensible part (l 5) starts to extend. The tensile strength at which the extensible part (15) starts to extend is 6.5 N or less. The peel strength between the attachment part (18) and the extensible part (15) is 4.0 N or less.
BELTED STRUCTURE WITH TACKIFIER-FREE ADHESIVE
Pull-on disposable absorbent articles with elastomeric belts are provided. The elastomeric belts include an outer nonwoven, an inner nonwoven, and elastic strands disposed therebetween. The elastomeric belts further have a front belt portion having a front waist edge, and front left and right side edges, and a rear belt portion having a rear waist edge and rear left and right side edges. An adhesive bonds at least one of the group consisting of the belt structure to the central chassis; the belt structure outer nonwoven to the belt structure inner nonwoven; the elastic strands to the belt structure nonwovens; and the respective front and rear left side edges and the front and rear right side edges. The adhesive is substantially tackifier-free.
Methods and apparatus for application of nested zero waste ear to traveling web
The present invention provides a method of providing a disposable product with a contoured leg opening. In this method at least one chip is removed from at least one ear of a disposable product. The chip may be removed from an ear prior to attaching the ear to the chassis web. Alternatively, the chip may be removed from the ear after the ear is attached to the chassis web.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH ADJUSTABLE CLOSURE
Disposable absorbent articles, and methods of making such articles that comprise one or more back ears or closure members that are configured to permit the article to be adjusted for a particular user.
FRONT OR REAR OPENING CLOSED-SIDED ABSORBENT ARTICLES
Absorbent articles with front and rear opening features are disclosed. An article may comprise an absorbent insert comprising an outer cover, a liner, and a core between the outer cover and liner, a first waist panel coupled to the insert and having a first waist panel bottom edge, a first waist panel top edge, a first waist panel outer surface, and a first waist panel inner surface, and a second waist panel coupled to the insert. The first waist panel may be coupled to the second waist panel along side edges of the article, and the first waist panel may further comprise a weakened region comprising weakened portions extending at least partially between the first waist panel bottom edge and the first waist panel top edge. The weakened region may have a weakened region percentage of between about 45% and about 90%.
Absorbent article side panel method of fastening
A method of manufacturing an absorbent article which is prefastened by the manufacturer and refastenable by the wearer of the absorbent article. The method can include fastening the side panels of an absorbent article in which the side panels of the absorbent article are of different widths.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES HAVING A BELT PORTION WITH A TEXTURE ZONE HAVING A TEXTURE RATIO
The present disclosure is directed, in part, to an absorbent article comprising a chassis comprising a topsheet, a backsheet, and a core disposed at least partially intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent article comprises a belt portion extending from the chassis. The belt portion comprises a first substrate, a second substrate joined to the first substrate, and a plurality of elongate elastic elements disposed at least partially intermediate the first substrate and the second substrate. The belt portion comprises a texture zone having a texture ratio of greater than about 5.
