Electromagnetic lock having distance-sensing monitoring system

An emergency exit door lock system configured to cooperate with a door hinged in a door frame for sensing when a person attempts to open the door, and for allowing the door to open after a subsequent delay. The system comprises an electromagnet affixable to a door frame for electromagnetically attracting an armature resiliently affixed at a variable armature separation distance to an armature mounting device, the device being affixable to the door. A proximity sensor including an analog Hall Effect device is mountable to the frame for detecting movement of the door away from a closed position. A controller, such as a micro-controller, receives a signal from the sensor and causes an alarm as a function of the signal. The signal is indicative of the armature separation distance, the controller being calibrate-able to provide a door alarm signal and door opening signal at any desired value of the armature separation distance.

Latch housing assemblies, latch hook assemblies, and latch assemblies are disclosed. Various disclosed latch housing assemblies include a latch pin coupled to an inner housing, and an outer housing having an inner surface coupled to an outer surface of the inner housing via at least one of a fuse pin and a spring. Various disclosed latch hook assemblies include a latch hook coupled to a latch housing, a weak point in the latch housing disposed between an inboard mount and an outboard mount, and a catch member mounted to the inboard mount and the outboard mount. Various disclosed latch assemblies include a latch housing, a bolt, and a deformable bushing at least partially surrounding the bolt, the deformable bushing configured to deform about a radius in response to a compressive load of about 1,000 lb.sub.f to about 3,000 lb.sub.f.

VEHICLE OPENING AND CLOSING BODY OPERATING DEVICE

A vehicle opening and closing body operating device includes: a full-open lock opening lever connected to a full-open lock configured to maintain an opening and closing body in a fully opened state, and configured to output release operating force to the full-open lock; an input lever connected to the full-open lock opening lever and an operating handle, and configured to rotate the full-open lock opening lever so as to output the release operating force; a release lever connected to the input lever through a connecting member, and configured to rotate the full-open lock opening lever through the connecting member and the input lever; an emergency input lever to which rotation operating force is inputted; and a cancel mechanism configured to move the connecting member from a connection position where the input and release levers are connected to a disconnection position where the input and release levers are disconnected.

MOTOR VEHICLE DOOR LOCKING SYSTEM

The invention relates to a motor vehicle door locking system, comprising a motor vehicle door lock (1) on a motor vehicle door (2) and a lock retainer (3), interacting therewith, on a motor vehicle body (4), or vice versa, according to patent application DE 10 2014 007 119.7, characterized in that a hold-back element (5) is provided which keeps clear an inlet opening (6) for the lock retainer (3) in the motor vehicle door lock (1) even in the event of deformations of the motor vehicle door (2) caused by an accident, wherein the hold-back element (5) keeps the opening clear on account of a shaping of the hold-back element.

Door structure having a locking element that inhibits the door release

A door structure for vehicles has a door outer lining, a door inner lining and a locking/closing mechanism with actuating elements on the outer side and optionally on the inner side of the door. The locking/closing mechanism is connected to the door release via at least one transmission element (8) between the door outer lining and the door inner lining. A locking element (1) between the door outer lining and the door inner lining acts on the transmission element (8) and inhibits the door release in the event of a side impact, The locking element (1) inhibits the operation of the transmission element (8) by blocking it as a result of pivoting of the locking element (1) in the event of a relative movement of the door outer lining in the direction of the door inner lining.
