APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR POSITIONING A PATIENT
A patient positioning system includes an inflatable patient support device having a width, and a positioning apparatus. The positioning apparatus including a wedge-shaped body, the wedge-shaped body configured to be placed under the inflatable patient support device to support a patient in a desired position, and a tail comprising an elongated piece of material extending from a front end of the wedge-shaped body, wherein a length of the tail is greater than the width of the inflatable patient support device.
Personal lifting apparatus
Embodiments of the present invention are related to a personal lifting apparatus including an outer frame with a pair of opposing sides, each side including an upper handle, outer vertical support, and a foundation bar. There is an upper crossbar and a lower crossbar extending from one side and connecting to the opposing side. A motor assembly is situated atop the upper crossbar and a threaded rod extends from the upper crossbar to the lower crossbar. An inner frame includes a pair of tracks attached thereto, a seat assembly attached to the pair of tracks and a threaded slide coupler fixedly attached to the seat assembly. The seat is pliable material. The seat assembly is structured to ascend and descend within the outer frame via the slide coupler. It is structured to align with the floor in a first position and lift a seated user to a second position.
BIRTHING HARNESS
A birthing harness birthing harness for supporting a female during birthing is disclosed and described. The birthing harness comprises: at least one left thigh strap configured to fit around a left thigh of a female; at least one right thigh strap configured to fit around a right thigh of the female; at least one rear torso strap coupled to the at least one left and right thigh straps; and at least one upper body strap coupled to the at least one rear torso strap and configured to fit around an upper portion of the female. Various attachment devices can be coupled to respective straps coupling the birthing harness to an overhead support mechanism via support lines such that at least some of the weight of the female is supported by the overhead support mechanism via the birthing harness while in a squatting or laying position.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR POSITIONING A PATIENT
A patient positioning system includes an inflatable patient support device and a positioning apparatus. The positioning apparatus includes a wedge-shaped body configured to be placed under the support device to support a patient in a desired position and a tail including an elongated piece of material extending from the wedge-shaped body.
Walking Frame for Adults
Walking frame comprising front and rear wheels, an upper frame part that together with a hinged gate forms a closed hoop and wheel-holding, front and rear frame parts, said wheel-holding frame parts being directly or indirectly attached to or integrated with the upper frame part. The hinged gate is arranged at a rear end of the upper frame part. The rear wheel-holding frame parts extend in the direction of the rear wheels further back than the rear end of the upper frame part in a lower area that, in the vertical direction, is located less than 35 cm above the lower surface of the wheels of the wheels, in a horizontal extension of at least 10 cm behind a plumb line drawn down from the rear end of the upper frame part.
PATIENT HANDLING APPARATUS AND METHOD
A soft-walled inflatable cradle (10) has a seat section (14), a back-support section (16), and a pair of opposed side panel sections (18, 20) extending between respective sides of the back-support and the seat. The cradle is positioned about a patient in an un-inflated condition and inflated to define a self-supporting seat structure. The cradle may be formed in at least two separable parts which can be positioned about a patient and connected together prior to inflation. The cradle may be used in co-operation with apparatus which include rollers over which the inflated cradle is moved. Methods of handling a patient using the cradle are also disclosed.
IMPROVED CLAMP AND PATIENT LIFTING AIDS USING THE CLAMP
Disclosed is an assembly comprising a clamp, strap and rod. The strap is provided for suspending a load from the rod and/or clamp. The clamp comprises a gripping part for gripping around the rod, enabling a clamping of the clamp on the rod. The strap engages with the clamp along a first and second contact line. Two adjacent strap parts form an angle around the first contact line. When a load is suspended from the strap, the strap exerts a force on the clamp at the first contact line, pushing the clamp at the first contact line in a closing direction, pressing the gripping part against the rod. The gripping part is resilient and provided with a pretension for pressing against the rod when no load is suspended from the strap. Further disclosed are lifting aids using the clamp for lifting/repositioning patients with physical limitation.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PATIENT TURNING AND REPOSITIONING
The present disclosure relates to a patient support which can be used in a bed or flat surface and in particular to a system and method for support and offloading of the body and for turning and repositioning of a patient in a bed or on a flat surface. Features of the disclosure also relate to markings and other indicators used on the patient support which help guide caregivers in the proper use and correct patient positioning on the patient support.
AUXILIARY CLEANING DEVICE FOR DISABLED PERSON
An auxiliary cleaning device for a disabled person, comprising a movable support (1), a leg lifting device (2), and a cleaning device (3). The distances between a cleaning mechanism (33) and a part to be cleaned of a user in a first direction, a second direction, and a third direction are automatically adjusted, such that the cleaning mechanism (33) is driven by a mechanical arm mechanism (32) to move to a designated position near said part, so as to perform an operation such as cleaning of said part.
