Equipment for the raising of a lying person
Equipment for raising of a lying person. The equipment comprises: a seat (1), a backrest (2), which from a first position can be passed to a second position behind the back of the person, and a chassis (3) with an upper end to which the seat is connected and a lowermost end adapted to rest on a surface such as a floor. The equipment is to be placed on the surface positioned to the person such that the seat is placed under the behind of the person and from this first position the equipment with the person can be passed to a second position in which the chassis with its lower end rests on the surface such that the seat and backrest is raised relative to the surface e.g. to take a chair-like posture or a catapult position i.e. an upright position in which the person will be assisted to a standing position.
Patient support apparatus
A patient support apparatus is disclosed.
Caregiver's helper lift
A caregiver's helper lift utilizes a unique hoisting apparatus, a lifting harness worn by a patient, and a control apparatus to allow a caregiver to raise and lower a patient into/out-of a wheelchair and into/out-of a vehicle, down to or up off a floor, or to any other position/location that a patient needs to be moved. The lifting harness can clip to a lift attachment which is affixed to a helper lift suspension cable/rope/etc. The caregiver's helper lift utilizes a crane arm to suspend the patient and allow him or her to be repositioned by simply rolling/turning the lift. By actuating the hoisting apparatus control system, the patient can be controllably raised and lowered as desired. The crane arm can be adjustably attached to a power T upright which is itself attached to an H brace base. At least two beam extensions extend laterally from the H brace and provide stability.
METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR RAISING A LYING PERSON
There is presented an equipment (13) for raising of an associated lying person, comprising a seat (1), a primary leg (4), a secondary leg (5) being secondary leg (5) being rotatably connected to the seat (1) and a backrest (2), wherein the equipment is arranged to be passed from a first configuration to a second configuration by rotation of the secondary leg (5) around a rotation axis, and wherein the equipment is arranged so that it enables placement of the equipment between the associated lying person and a supporting surface while the bottom of the associated lying person is in contact with the supporting surface upon which the associated lying person is lying and subsequently raising the associated lying person by passing the equipment from the first configuration to the secondary configuration by rotation of the secondary leg (5). In a particular embodiment, the equipment is arranged for being reversibly assembled and disassembled without using tools.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PATIENT TURNING AND REPOSITIONING WITH SIMULTANEOUS OFF-LOADING OF THE BODY IN THE PRONE POSITION
The present invention relates to a system and method for sacral and trochanteric support and off-loading. The system provides a ultra low pressure plenum and a positioner. The patient body size and size and corresponding surface area of the positioner control the amount of gas which is displaced evenly against the walls of the ultra low pressure plenum to allow the combination of the ultra low pressure plenum and the positioner to slightly lift a patient from a bed surface, thereby offloading the sacrum and trochanter. The positioner can be an ultra low pressure bladder.
Memory foam pads for lift swings and slings
The present invention relates to a novel lift swing pad made of memory foam material. The pad is cuboidal and is configured to be separately positioned on slings of a lift sling or lift swing such that the legs and/or arms (i.e., appendages) of a user sitting in the swing places legs on the pads to prevent the slings from folding under the user and to prevent the slings from pulling on the skin of the user. The pad has a hook and loop fastener for attaching to the slings and in one embodiment, has a heating layer for providing a soothing effect to the user. In some embodiments, the pad is made of waterproof neoprene. The pad helps maintain optimal blood circulation within the extremities while a person is being supported by the sling.
PERSON-MOVING DEVICE COMPRISING A TILTABLE TWO-LOOP HARNESS
The person transfer device comprises: a means for suspension (105) from a ceiling rail, arm or lifting module; a prehension device (101) comprising a first lateral drive system comprising at least two rollers (102) of which at least one is motorised, and a second lateral drive system comprising at least two rollers (102) of which at least one is motorised; and a person transport harness (117) comprising a first large sling loop (120) supported by the first drive system, and a second large sling loop (120) supported by the second drive system; and wherein the friction of the drive systems against the surface of the sling loops results in the rotation of at least one portion of the harness, such that the person transfer device allows a person (121) installed in the harness to be tilted according to at least two predefined positions.
MOVEMENT ASSISTANCE DEVICE
A apparatus includes an a exoskeleton system with a plurality of sensors for generating signals indicating a current motion and a current arrangement of at least the exoskeleton system, a hip segment, and at least one lower limb. The lower limb includes thigh and shank segments for coupling to a lateral surface of a user's leg. The thigh segment includes a first powered joint coupling the thigh segment to the hip segment, a second powered joint coupling the thigh segment to the shank segment, and a controller coupled to the sensors, the first powered joint, and the second powered joint. The controller is configured for determining a current state of the exoskeleton system and a current intent of the user based on the signals and generating control signals for the first and second powered joints based on the current state and the current intent.
Amusement ride transfer accessibility device for the physically-disabled
An apparatus and method for assisting the transfer of a physically-disabled person into or out of an amusement ride. The apparatus and method involve a base portion having an elevated seat and an associated extension. The base portion is mobile and can be positioned adjacent the amusement ride. The extension is then positioned within the amusement ride to provide a smooth platform that permits the passenger to slide from the elevated seat, down the extension and into an open seat in the amusement ride. The process is reversed to permit the passenger egress from the amusement ride. The base portion also includes at least one wheel assembly and feet upon which the base portion rests during use. When it is necessary to move the base portion, it is simply tilted onto the wheel assembly off of the feet for quick and easy transport. The elevated seat and extension are covered with a comfortable material.
