Lifting, mobility, and rehabilitation apparatus for disabled patients
A mobility device that includes support assemblies that may be secured to feet, legs, thighs, and torso of a user. An exemplary mobility device may further include an actuator that may be coupled with the exemplary support assemblies and may actuate rotational movements of the exemplary support assemblies with respect to each other. Such movement of support assemblies may accordingly move respective limbs of a disabled user. An exemplary mobility device may allow for a user to change position from a lying position to a standing position or from a standing position to a sitting position, which may significantly increase mobility of a disabled user. An exemplary mobility device may further include an exemplary wheeled base that may allow a disabled user to further move around.
Patient transfer device
The patient transfer device comprises a base, a central pole, a ceiling support, a lift system, a horizontal handle, and a support belt. The patient transfer device may be adapted to assist a caregiver in moving a patient from a first seated location to a second seated location by holding the patient in an elevated seated position while the patient is moved from a first rotational orientation to a second rotational orientation. The base may rest on a floor to provide stability. The central pole may rise vertically upwards to the ceiling support. The central pole may be extended using the lift system to press the ceiling support against a ceiling to provide additional support. The horizontal handle and the support belt may be adapted to hold the patient in the elevated seated position while the patient is moved.
PATIENT LIFT APPARATUS
There is described a patient lift apparatus comprising a supporting frame, a boom portion connected to the supporting frame via a pivot joint (PJ1) to allow the boom portion to pivot with respect to the supporting frame about a pivot axis (PA1), and a boom actuator to mechanically assist pivotal movement of the boom portion with respect to the supporting frame. The boom portion is configured as a telescopic arm comprising an outer member and an inner member that is telescopically received inside the outer member to allow displacement of the inner member with respect to the outer member and adjustment of an effective length of the telescopic arm. The patient lift apparatus further comprises a centering system configured to center the inner member with respect to the outer member and suppress a clearance between the inner member and outer member. The centering system includes a first centering element mounted on the outer member and interposed between an inner side of the outer member and an outer periphery of the inner member, and a second centering element mounted on the inner member and guided inside the outer member. The first and second centering elements are configured to suppress the clearance between the outer member and inner member. The first centering element is configured as a bushing member mounted on a distal end portion of the outer member, a portion of which bushing member extends between the inner side of the outer member and the outer periphery of the inner member. The second centering element is configured as a guiding member mounted on a distal end portion of the inner member and guided inside the outer member.
Hoist with handle
In a first aspect, the present invention relates to a hoist for facilitating a transition between firstly a seated or lying position and secondly a standing position of an individual, comprising: a movable lifting arm for exerting a lifting force, a connecting element for transferring the lifting force from the lifting arm to the individual, and a movable handle suitable for supporting the hands of the individual during operation of the hoist, wherein the movable handle is configured to shift during operation of the hoist, wherein during operation of the hoist, the movable handle also executes a movement relative to the lifting arm.
Autonomus and user-input reconfigurable proning bed and method for reconfiguring proning bed in the treatment of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS)
There is provided a reconfigurable autonomous and user-input proning bed. The proning bed includes controllers and at least one of: a head position system (HPS) to detect a position of the head of the patient configurable and reconfigurable to be automatically positioned; an arms position system (APS) to detect the presence of the arms of the patient and change a level and inclination of APS upper sections and APS lower sections; a legs position system (LPS) to detect the presence of the legs of the patient and change a level and inclination of LPS upper sections and LPS lower sections; and a body position system (BPS) to detect the presence of the torso of the patient and change a level and inclination of a BPS upper section and a BPS lower section. The proning bed can include an integrated entertainment position system and side rail position system.
Lift and method for use of a lift for positioning a patient relative to a surgical frame
A lift, a head support, and methods for use thereof for use with a surgical frame are provided. The lift and the head support can be used with the surgical frame that is capable of reconfiguration before, during, or after surgery. The surgical frame can include a main beam that can be rotated, raised/lowered, and tilted upwardly/downwardly to afford positioning and repositioning of a patient supported thereon, and the lift and the head support can be used in lifting the patient from a table/gurney and positioning the patient with respect to the main beam.
Transfer device
A transfer device can transfer a care-receiving person who has difficulty in independent walking to a desired location in a comfortable posture. This transfer device is provided with front wheels and rear wheels and allows a caregiver to move a care-receiving person. The transfer device is characterized by being provided with: a support body for supporting the upper half body of the care-receiving person; a leg guidance part that comes into contact with the anterior surface of the lower legs of the care-receiving person and can be tilted forward from a substantially vertical state; and a foot placement part on which the feet of the care-receiving person are placed. The transfer device has a support body advancing and retreating mechanism that is configured such that the support body moves forward in parallel in link with a forward tilt of the leg guidance part.
Patient Raiser
The application relates to a device for, and method of transferring a patient on a bed between a lying position along a bed to a seated position facing the side of a bed. The device comprises an arm hold to allow the patient to clinch the arm hold to his or her chest, thereby enabling the device to transfer the patient between a lying position and a seated position. Preferably, the device further comprises a leg support to assist in transferring the lower portion of the patients body between a lying position and a seated position.
