MEDICAL PROCEDURE FACILITATION SYSTEM
A medical procedure facilitation system for use with a bed. The system has a pair of assist arms secured to the bed that may rotate in relation to the bed along a path of rotation. A spring assembly is connected to the assist arms for helping raise a patient's legs. Supportive thigh pads associated with the assist arms give support under the knees and thighs and adjust their angle to accommodate the size and position of the patient. Hand grips are mounted on the support arms that allow the patient to contribute to lifting forces.
CRANIOSACRAL CRADLE SYSTEM AND METHOD
A formed therapeutic tool has a base in a generally heart-shaped configuration with a narrow arcuate front, a wide rear, tapering sides, and a concave bottom. A rearward support is formed of two similarly configured projections. The projections are laterally spaced. Each projection has a linear high point and a semicircular surface. The tool has a forward support formed of two similarly configured inclines. Each incline has an arcuate high point adjacent to one of the projections and an arcuate low point adjacent to the front. A ovoid shaped central recess extends downwardly between the inclines and the projections. The central recess terminates in an ovoid shaped floor with a lower surface constituting a portion of the concave bottom of the base. The tool having a Durometer of from 36 to 45 on a Shore A scale and an Indentation Force Deflection of from 8 to 9.
Reconfigurable pelvic support for a surgical frame and method for use thereof
A surgical frame and method for use thereof is provided. The surgical frame is capable of reconfiguration before, during, or after surgery. The surgical frame includes a main beam that can be rotated, raised/lowered, and tilted upwardly/downwardly to afford positioning and repositioning of a patient supported thereon. The surgical frame also includes a pelvic support for supporting a patient during movement of the main beam. The pelvic support is articulable between at least a retracted first position where the pelvic support is withdrawn from the pelvic area of the patient, and an extended second position where the pelvic area is supported thereby.
Birth assisting module and birthing furniture
A birth assisting module for being arranged in a region of a birth furniture where a pelvis of a mother is intended to be placed during birth, includes a pelvis mobilization support, a movement mechanics and a drive unit. The pelvis mobilization support is coupled to the movement mechanics. The movement mechanics is adapted to induce a controlled cadenced displacement of the pelvis mobilization support. The controlled cadenced displacement moves the pelvis mobilization support by at least 1 cm or at least 3 cm and preferably by at least 5 cm. The drive unit is connected to the movement mechanics to actuate the movement mechanics.
Apparatus and method for changing position of hospital patient
A soft, inflatable, single use, repositioning device for ob/gyn/pelvic examination and procedures, more particularly, to single time use and/or partially reusable pillow like device. A flat collapsible/inflatable-expandable, repositioning and lifting apparatus for medical and ob/gyn examination and procedures and, more particularly, to a reposition and lift device, with a single or more than one, inflatable compartment. Various attachments may be provided, such as foot stirrups, sleeves, and handles, and optional accessories, with built in compressed gas cartridge, and/or a reusable pump for air source through connector. The device repositions, orient and raises the patient's lower back and the buttocks from supine, flat position to dorsal lithotomy and Trendelenburg position on a flat hospital bed to carry out an exam or a procedure, without moving a patient to a special exam room or using another table.
Femoral lift device
A femoral lift apparatus for an operating table having a side rail, the apparatus engageable with the femur of a patient. The apparatus includes a lift mountable to the side rail. An extension arm is receivable on the lift, the extension arm extending transversely from the lift when the extension arm is received on the lift. A plurality of apertures can be defined along the extension arm, and a femoral hook can be receivable in one of the apertures in the extension arm, the femoral hook having a hook end shaped to be received under and contour the femur of the patient positioned on the operating table when the lift is mounted to the side rail of the table, the extension arm is received on the lift, and the femoral hook is received in one of the apertures of the extension arm.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SUPPORTING AND STABILIZING A PATIENT DURING HIP DISTRACTION
A method for hip distraction includes positioning a patient on a patient pad placed on a surgical table; and applying a distraction force to a leg of the patient that is sufficient to distract a hip joint of the patient, wherein the distraction force is opposed by a slide-resisting friction force provided by the patient pad and the patient pad is sufficiently stiff to resist bunching while providing the slide-resisting friction force.
RECONFIGURABLE SURGICAL FRAME AND METHOD FOR USE THEREOF
A surgical frame and method for use thereof is provided. The surgical frame is capable of reconfiguration before, during, or after surgery. The surgical frame includes a main beam that can be rotated, raised/lowered, and tilted upwardly/downwardly to afford positioning and repositioning of a patient supported thereon. The main beam is capable of be reconfigured between a left configuration and a right configuration to support the patient in different positions thereon.
BED FOR ENDOSCOPIC EXAMINATION OF STOMACH AND LARGE INTESTINE
Proposed is a bed for endoscopic examination of the stomach and the large intestine, the bed being configured to enable a distance to a patient to be narrowed in a case of the endoscopic examination of the large intestine and a patient's head to be tilted in a case of the endoscopic examination of the stomach. To this end, the bed may at least include: a central main body configured to support at least a part of the torso and the buttocks of a patient; a lower main body configured to be coupled to the central main body by a pitching shaft at a buttocks side of a patient so that a pitching movement is possible with the central main body as a reference; and a pitching coupling unit configured to allow the lower main body to perform a pitching movement with the central main body as the reference.
SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR PATIENT POSITIONING AND METHODS OF USE
A patient positioning system and methods therefore including apparatuses having a base frame assembly operable to position a patient, adjustably-attached attached to a gimbal, wherein the gimbal is rotatable about two or more axes relative to the base frame assembly.
