The extension being dimensioned to be operably connected to said clamp assembly and a rotational assembly. A rotational assembly has a portion for operably connecting to the extension, a device attachment portion, and a rotational assembly operably connected to the device attachment portion for providing rotational thereof. A boot having a holder portion and a flexible attachment can be attached to the device attachment portion. The surgical positioner provides motion from different force factors causing multiple components to move in a coordinated way using such established pivots and useful in performing various surgical procedures including direct anterior approach total hip replacement surgery.

The patient examination system includes a frame assembly, one or more motion-controlling assemblies connected to the frame assembly for moving one or more selected movable portions of the frame assembly, and a patient support assembly that is supported by the frame assembly. The patient support assembly includes a seat subassembly, a back subassembly, a footrest subassembly, and a cover element covering a seat cushion and a footrest cushion in the footrest subassembly. The cover element has an exposed surface formed for engagement with the patient. The seat subassembly supports the seat cushion and is secured to the upper element of the frame assembly. The frame assembly is configured to support the seat subassembly relative to the floor in a lowered position thereof, in a raised position thereof, in intermediate seat positions therebetween, and in Trendelenburg positions.

Surgical Leg Positioner

A surgical leg positioner capable of bending the knee in varus or valgus while simultaneously distracting the tibia from the femur, the leg positioner having a thigh clamp module, a swing arm module connected to the thigh clamp module in a manner that offsets a joint axis laterally to the side of the knee of the patient so as not to damage the opposite compartment of the knee when bent in varus or valgus. The swing arm module also distracts the knee simultaneously when the knee is bent in varus or valgus. The swing arm module also permits flexion and extension of the knee at the knee's natural flexion-extension axis. The surgical leg positioner also utilizes a thigh brace that property aligns the leg on the surgical leg positioner.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AIRWAY MANAGEMENT

Systems and methods for airway management are provided. The airway management devices may be configured to align the oropharyngeal, laryngeal and tracheal axes of a person's head and/or support a neck region and chin and posterior mandibular region of a person. The airway management devices may provide forces similar to forces provided by a conventional head tilt chin lift maneuver and a conventional jaw thrust maneuver.

Reconfigurable patient support device and patient support system

A patient support device includes an alternate support top, a head support unit partially supporting the alternate support top, a foot support unit longitudinally spaced from the head support unit and an adaptor associated with the foot support unit. The adaptor is securable to the foot support unit so that the adaptor and foot support unit cooperate to partially support the alternate support top so that the alternate support top extends footwardly beyond the foot support unit. The roles of the head and foot support units may be reversed. A related patient support system includes a baseline set of support tops and a set of alternate support tops.
