20220296450 · 2022-09-22 · ·

A height-adjustable support for supporting various bodily limbs over a wide range of limb positions, and in hospital rooms, doctors' offices, or other compact environments. The device permits a medical procedure to be performed by a single person while the device supports the limb. The device includes a rigid base, at least one support mounted to the base to extend therefrom, and a cradle mounted on the support, the cradle defining a surface configured to support a limb of a patient. The supports may be adjustable in length, and the cradle may be adjustable in angular position. The cradle may be U-shaped or otherwise concavely-shaped, and may be linked with a cushioning material. A cover may be provided, and the cover and/or cradle may be configured with complementary fasteners for releasably attaching the cover to the cradle, so that the cover may be discarded after each use.

Surgical frame having translating lower beam and method for use thereof

A surgical frame and method for use thereof is provided. The surgical frame is capable of reconfiguration before, during, or after surgery. The surgical frame includes a translating beam that is moveable between at least a first lateral position and a second lateral position. The translating beam is used to join a first support portion and a second support portion of the surgical frame to one another, and movement of the translating beam affords access to a patient receiving area.

SURGERY PILLOW AND DEVICE COMBINING ENDOTRACHEAL TUBE HOLDER, BITE GUARD, AND PATIENT EYE PROTECTOR

A surgery apparatus includes a resilient foam pillow having an arrangement of labeled tabs for holding lines leading to/from a patient during and after surgery. A central cutout area in the pillow accommodates the patient's eyes, nose and mouth when in the prone position. Left and right channels in the foam pillow extend from a top edge of the pillow to the central cutout area for holding a breathing tube system. The foam pillow further includes a removably attachable chest support and opposite shoulder supports. A multipurpose holder device for placement on the patient's head has an arrangement of straps for securing an eye shield, a bite block and ventilator tube securing straps on the patient during surgery.

ROBOTIC HEAD HOLDING SYSTEM FOR SURGICAL PROCEDURES, AND ASSOCIATED DEVICES AND METHODS
20220265501 · 2022-08-25 ·

The present technology is directed to robotic systems that support and selectively adjust a position of a patient's head and neck during surgery. The robotic head holding systems may include a patient engagement assembly for supporting a portion of the patient and one or more arm segments connecting the patient engagement assembly to a surgical bed. An actuator can move the patient engagement assembly and/or the one or more arm segments to adjust a position of the patient, and a controller can receive user inputs for automatically controlling operation of the actuator.

LATERAL ARM AND TORSO SUPPORT DEVICE

A lateral arm support device configured to support and anteriorly extend the arms of a patient away from the torso during a medical procedure. The lateral arm support device includes spaced apart panels, one forming a superior panel and the other forming an inferior panel, an upper arm support surface extending between the upper sides of the superior and inferior panels, and a lower arm support surface extending between the lower sides of the superior and inferior panels. The panels have shapes that define an anterior cutout extending from the anterior side of the lateral arm support towards the posterior side of the lateral arm support, beneficially allowing increased visualization and access to the lower arm of a patient. The lateral arm support device can be part of a patient positioning system configured to position a patient in a lateral decubitus position.

Apparatus for applying multi-dimensional traction to the spinal column

A physical medicine table for treating a patient's spine that is capable of providing precise, repeatable, and effective traction force treatment to a patient in multiple dimensions to adjust an unhealthy spinal structure towards a normal, healthy structure. Generally, the spinal structure treatment can be applied to a patient using the described traction device to secure the patient to the adjustable support portions and selectively impart a combination of longitudinal Y-axis traction forces, lateral X-axis traction forces and/or sagittal Z-axis traction forces to the patient using a control system in accordance with a prescribed treatment regimen.

SURGICAL PATIENT SUPPORT AND METHODS THEREOF

Devices, systems, and methods for patient support include arrangements of patient support tops, that are selectively connectible with a connection assembly, through a slide assembly allowing particular arrangement of the patient support tops. The patient support tops can be arranged for flip rotation to assist in positioning a patient's body. The connection assembly is arranged for receiving a tube connector of the patient top.

Surgical Positioner

In general, various surgical patient positioners and methods for using the same are provided. For example, a surgical patient support is provided for use during anterior hip replacement surgery. The surgical patient support can have a body support configured to receive an upper body of a patient thereon and one or more extremity supports configured to receive one or more patient extremities thereon.

Pad assembly, system, method of pre-load positioning of patient for medical procedure and kit

A pad assembly, system and method of securing a patient onto an operating table when the patient is in the Trendelenburg position. The pad assembly and system is used to support and hold a patient on a medical procedure table during a medical procedure performed while the table, and thus the patient lying thereon, is in an inclined position, such as the Trendelenburg position. The pad assembly and system has characteristics which promote improved securing to eliminate shifting and/or sliding due to gravitational forces when the patient's body is in the Trendelenburg position, as well as promote a secure holding of the patient in a desired position on the table, in order to minimize injury to the patient. The pad assembly and system further has improved channels to allow for drainage of fluids that may otherwise be trapped between the patient's body and the OR Table during the surgical procedure.

COMBINATION SURGICAL KIT AND HAND RESTRAINT

The present invention relates to a combination surgical kit. The surgical kit can include a plurality of tools for a medical procedure, the plurality of tools including a first set of tools and a second set of tools. The surgical kit can also include a hand/wrist positioning tray device, including a bottom tray configured to hold the first set of tools, a middle tray configured to hold the second set of tools; and a top tray including a recess configured to receive a patients hand for the medical procedure.
