CANE ASSEMBLY
An assembly and method for the operation and use of a cane assembly is presented. The assembly includes a handle portion configured to selectively adjust in length. A leg assembly is located at the bottom of the cane body and is configured to selectively operate between an open and a closed position, such that when opened, the footprint of the leg assembly increases to provide added stabilization to the cane body. A deployment mechanism is configured to selectively operate a leg assembly.
Mobility aid with rehabilitative and guiding functions and rehabilitation and guiding method thereof
A mobility aid with rehabilitative and guiding functions includes a main body, a processing unit, a guiding module, a detection module, an inertia sensor, a recording module, and an electricity module. A rehabilitation and guiding method includes the steps of: A) constantly projecting a visible light beam to a next-step position of the mobility aid; B) moving the mobility aid to its next-step position under the guidance of the visible light beam; C) constantly emitting an ultrasonic wave to a next-step position of at least one of the user's feet to define a detection area; D) detecting whether the foot is moved into the detection area; E) recording the moving process of any of the steps A through D and notifying a remote device of the moving process; and F) detecting any of the steps A through D and, if an abnormal condition occurs, sending out a warning message.
Umbrella Accessorizing Paper Towel Dispenser
An umbrella accessorizing paper towel dispenser for accessorizing an umbrella includes a casing that comprises a base. A shell is coupled to and extends upwardly from a perimeter of the base, defining an open top. The dispenser includes a lid that is complimentary to and reversibly couplable to the open top. A slot, configured for protrusion of a free end of the roll of paper towels, is positioned longitudinally in the shell between the base and the open top. A coupler is coupled to the casing. The coupler is configured to reversibly couple the casing to the tube of an umbrella.
Survival Rod System
A survival rod system for surviving in the event of an emergency is provided. The survival rod system comprises a plurality of interconnecting tubular rod sections creating an elongated, survival rod having a first end and a second end. Each rod section has a hollowed interior sized, shaped, and adapted for storing one or more implements within each rod section.
Rotating Mechanism of Sunshade
A rotating mechanism of a sunshade is disclosed to overcome the shortcomings of complicated structure, large weight, low stability, large package volume, high cost, and carrying hard in daily using according to the prior art. The rotating mechanism of a sunshade includes a sunshade canopy, a sunshade pole, a cantilever rod and a rotary device; wherein the rotary device is installed on a top end of the sunshade pole, the cantilever rod is detachably fixed to the rotary device, and the sunshade canopy is installed at one end of the cantilever rod; wherein the rotary device drives the sunshade canopy rotating around the sunshade pole via the cantilever rod.
Smart cane with extensions for navigating stairs
Devices and systems are described including a walking aid including a linear rod having a first end and a second end, a hand grip disposed in proximity to the first end of the linear rod, two or more extendable and retractable self-leveling load-bearing feet at the second end of the linear rod, at least one sensor configured to detect a parameter of a walking surface in proximity to the second end of the linear rod, and a controller including a microprocessor and circuitry, the controller operably coupled to the two or more extendable and retractable self-leveling load-bearing feet and the at least one sensor, and including circuitry configured to receive information regarding the detected parameter of the walking surface from the at least one sensor and circuitry configured to actuate at least one of the two or more extendable and retractable self-leveling load-bearing feet in response to the information regarding the detected parameter of the walking surface.

Fold-out accessory rest for pole
A fold-out accessory rest is for securement to a trekking or ski pole or tripod leg in a folded-up position and then easily deployed by unfolding the rest for supporting a firearm, scope, camera, or other accessory. The rest includes a rest body for mounting on a pole/leg, a strap-supporting flap rotatably connected at its lower end near a lower part of the rest body, and a rest-strap rotatably connected at a proximal end near the rest-body's middle part and at a distal end to the distal end of the strap-supporting flap. When the rest-body is deployed in its folded-out position, a firearm barrel or forestock or camera telephoto lens or other accessory may be laid upon the rest-body to steady the accessory for use.
Obstacle Avoidance Using Mobile Devices
Methods, systems, and products estimate distances to aid a visually impaired user of a mobile device. As the user carries the mobile device, a camera in the mobile device captures images of a walking cane. The images of the walking cane are analyzed to infer a distance between a tip of the walking cane and the mobile device. The distance may then be used by navigational tools to aid the visually impaired user.
Beach umbrella system
An umbrella has a lower pole and an upper pole and a fabric. The lower pole includes screw threads. A spring clip in an inverted V-shaped configuration has outwardly extending projections removably coupling together the upper pole and the lower pole. A handle is removably coupled to the lower pole to twist the lower pole. Each rib of a plurality of ribs has an interior end and an exterior end. The interior ends of the ribs are coupled to the upper pole. The fabric overlies the ribs. Each tip of a plurality of tips has an upper part and a lower part. Each upper part has a tubular recess receiving the exterior end of an associated rib. The periphery of the fabric is secured between the upper part and the lower part.
