An apparatus that includes a composite fuselage and motion control system designed to protect the human leg from knee pain and muscular fatigue created by repetitive vertical movement or extended periods of squatting. Fuselage panels and frame encapsulate the leg and functionally integrate with hard shell boots to create a rigid exoskeleton structure that resists radial displacement of the knee or ankle. The fuselage open clamshell leg harness utilizes wide composite body panels that disperse pressure across a large surface area, allowing the harness to provide body mass support and device securement without restriction of the body's circulatory system.

A non-surgical treatment for receding gums utilizes the fact that tissue responds to continuous controlled mechanical forces with growth. The treatment system includes an impression of the upper and/or lower teeth, including the surrounding existing gums, so that a vacuum can be established within the impression around teeth and gums. Before use, selected portions of the impression are carved out a desired amount to create a location for the expansion and regrowth of the gums. Additionally, one or more channels may be included in the impression for delivery of the vacuum to all areas encompassed by the impression. The treatment system also includes a vacuum source operatively attached to the impression so as to be able to deliver a vacuum to the impression once the impression is place in the patient's mouth over the teeth and gums.

Partial or whole-body therapeutic articles of clothing are provided. Each therapeutic article of clothing provides a plurality of massage protrusions disposed along an inner surface thereof for massaging, relaxing, stress relieving, and skin stimulating certain locations of the wearer's body. The inner surface may be of an elastic nature to urge the plurality of massage protrusions into the skin when each article of clothing is being worn. The massage protrusions may come in many forms and dimensions, and may be spaced apart in random or predetermined patterns to operatively associate with the portions of the wearer most in need of a pressure massage.

A stabilization system configured to be arranged on a floor comprising a table having generally flat surface having a longitudinal axis for receiving a human body having a first hole, a second hole, and third hole within the flat surface, each hole having a hole shape with a generally vertical inner surface and configured to receive a bolster connector, a bolster comprising a bolster connector having an outer shape corresponding to the hole shape, the bolster connector configured to be reversibly engaged by one of the holes, a generally flat surface generally perpendicular to the table surface when the bolster connector is engaged by one of the holes.

A modified elastic gym ball includes a hollow spherical body, a plurality of first polygonal column bumps and a plurality of second polygonal column bumps. Systems and devices described herein provide respiration assistance to users who have difficulty breathing on their own, and include a cuirass configured to be coupled to a thorax of the user and a ventilator fluidically coupled to the cuirass. The ventilator includes a housing, a pump including an inlet and outlet, a valve, an actuator, and a controller in communication with the actuator. The controller is configured to cause the actuator to: move the valve into a first configuration in which a first flow path of the valve fluidically couples the outlet to the cuirass and a second flow path of the valve fluidically couples the inlet to an external environment during exhalation and move the valve into a second configuration in which the first flow path fluidically couples the inlet to the cuirass and the second flow path fluidically couples the outlet to the internal volume during inhalation.

A therapeutic device is provided. The therapeutic device includes a substantially flat board and a pair of risers. Transducers for applying stimulation to a patient include a Peltier device (8), a pneumatically inflatable Finger bladder (4) and an LRA or ERM (6), and are connected to a controller. In a passive mode stimulation can be provided in the absence of feedback from the patient. In an active mode, the addition of movement detection enables additional visual images to encourage a response from a patient, increasing the range or rehabilitation provided to the patient.
