Programmable pill dispensing device and methods of use
A programmable pill dispensing device, system, and methods are provided. A programmable pill dispensing device may be used to automatedly dispense a pill, such as a prescription medication, at a programmed predetermined time.
Container with content monitoring and reporting capabilities
An activity monitor is associated with a container, such as a medication bottle, and includes one or more detectors configured to detect activity associated with the bottle, such as movement, opening and/or closing, and changes in volume and/or mass. The activity monitor may include alerting devices and be programmed with scheduling information. The activity monitor may also, or instead, be part of a system and communicate with one or more remote devices such as a user device or monitoring system, such as to receive programming information from those devices or to output activity information to those devices.
CARRIAGE WITH TIMER MECHANISM FOR HOLDING A CONTAINER
An apparatus and method for holding a container comprising of a carriage and timing mechanism. The apparatus is comprised of a lever with at least two positions relative to the carriage, a timer, and a timer reset mechanism such that when the lever is in the first position, the timer will start counting time. When the lever is moved to the second position, the timer reset mechanism will modify the timer such as by resetting the amount of time that has been counted. The user thus knows how much time has passed since the user last changed the position of the lever.
Personal prescription dispenser
Disclosed is a method and apparatus for transporting and dispensing medications for a patient according to a medication schedule for the patient. A smart container from a pharmacy is received at the patient's site and the container is checked to make sure that the container was delivered to the correct patient site. The smart container contains a memory device that contains identification information of the patient, dosage and treatment instructions for the patient. This information and the medication were checked for compatibility before the smart container was delivered. The identity of the patient at the patient's site is then checked and the patient performs on or more biometric tests before the medication is dispensed by the smart container. Upon taking the medication and providing video proof thereof, the smart container is returned to the pharmacy.
CONTROL METHOD FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICE, AND COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM FOR STORING PROGRAM FOR PERFORMING SAME
A control method for an electronic apparatus, and a computer-readable recording medium for storing a program for performing same are provided. The control method for an electronic apparatus can transmit a payment request for medicine to an external device, receive medication information for the medicine from the external device in response to the payment request, store the medication information for the medicine, and provide a medication alarm for the medicine to a user on the basis of the stored medication information.
DIGITALISED, PORTABLE AND CONSOLIDATED APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DISPENSING, TRACKING AND COMMUNICATING MULTIPLE-DOSE ADHERENCE IN REAL-TIME AND INCLUSIVE OF REFILL MECHANISM
This invention relates to a safer and more comprehensive, economical, convenient and digitalised apparatus and method that equips the existing multiple-dose dispenser with a unique assembly configured to enable additional capabilities including the automated dispensing of multiple-dose pouches containing individual units of homogenous and/or heterogeneous pharmaceutical products which are retained in and/or without manufacturer's packaging, in exact customised quantities and combinations, exactly according to the dose time prescribed by the doctor, with optional automated light and/or sound alerts when the relevant dose pouches are dispensed, provision of a button which when pressed by the user cuts the dispensed pouches and stores and/or communicates the time of cutting with the central systems in real-time. The invention also contains features such as compatibility with phone applications to allow the user to control the device for allowing dispensed pouches to go back in and reporting emergencies and/or adverse drug reactions.
MEDICATION MANAGEMENT AND REPORTING TECHNOLOGY
Medication management and reporting technology, in which output from at least one sensor configured to sense physical activity in a building in which medication of a patient is located is monitored and a determination is made to capture one or more images of the medication based on the monitoring. A camera is used to capture an image of the medication and the captured image is analyzed to detect a state of the medication. Information regarding a schedule by which the medication should be taken by the patient is accessed and an expected state of the medication is determined. The detected state is compared with the expected state and a determination is made that the patient has departed from the schedule based on the comparison revealing that the detected state does not match the expected state. A message indicating the departure from the schedule is sent based on the determination.
MEDICATION REMINDER METHOD, NON-TRANSITORY READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM STORING SAID METHOD, AND MEDICATION REMINDER DEVICE
A method, system, and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a method for reminding a patient to comply with medication schedule. The method includes obtaining a measurement of at least one patient parameter; determining whether the measurement is outside of a range; when the measurement is outside of the range, determining a total time lapse since the previous administration of a dose of the medication; determining a concentration of the medication in blood of the patient based at least on the total time lapse; and when the concentration of the medication in the blood of the patient is below a threshold, generating a reminder to the patient to administer the next dose of the medication.
INTEGRATED DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR DRUG DISPENSING
A device includes a reservoir for holding an article that has thereon and a dispenser for dispensing the articles from the reservoir. A deactivation mechanism may deactivate medicament held within the reservoir.
Medication dispensing system
A medication dispensing system is provided with several cooperating components which help to accommodate the responsible handling of medications. These systems include a user interface to receive input from the user and to present appropriate information/notices/alarms. Further, physical controls and multiple sensors are provided to detect tampering, misuse, and attempts to inappropriately access medications contained within the dispensing system. This misuse can thus be detected, and appropriate notifications can be provided, where appropriate. Further, by adding network communications capabilities, notices can be widely communicated to others, and operation of the medication dispensing system can be controlled and/or monitored remotely.
