The present invention relates to a low-viscosity cosmetic composition and methods using a natural emulsifying agent. More specifically, the present invention relates to a cosmetic composition using a naturally derived saccharide-based surfactant in place of a chemical surfactant and realizing a low-viscosity formulation to offer safety to the skin, feel good on the skin with fast absorption, give stability to the formulation and add luster to the skin in an effective manner.

A dispersion comprises a dispersed phase comprising drops and a continuous aqueous phase, preferably in gel form, wherein the drops comprise a fatty phase comprising at least one lipophilic gelling agent, wherein: the fatty phase has a melting point between 50° C. and 100° C., preferably between 60° C. and 90° C., and, at room temperature and atmospheric pressure, meets the following physicochemical criteria: a hardness (x) of between 2 and 14 N, preferably between 2.5 and 12 N, more preferably between 3 and 9 N, and most preferably between 4 and 6 N; and an adhesiveness (y) greater than or equal to −2 N, and better still, greater than or equal to −1 N, and in particular greater than or equal to −0.6 N; and the dispersion does not comprise amodimethicone.

The present invention relates to gel cream anti-aging cosmetic compositions in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion comprising sensory ingredients that are suitable for the complete treatment of the skin and also provide specific benefits for day and night care, which complement each other.

Disclosed is a self-invertible inverse latex comprising an aqueous phase containing: a) a crosslinked anionic polyelectrolyte (P) including: —at least one first monomer unit derived from 2-methyl-2-[(1-oxo-2-propenyl) amino] 1-propanesulfonic acid in the form of a free or partially or totally salified acid; —at least one second monomer unit derived from at least one monomer selected from the elements of the group consisting of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, 2-carboxyethyl acrylic acid, itaconic acid, maleic acid, 3-methyl 3-[(1-oxo-2-propenyl) amino] butanoic acid, the carboxylic function of said monomers being in the free, partially salified or totally salified acid form; and —at least one third monomer unit derived from a polyethylenic crosslinking monomer (AR); b) ethylenediamine disuccinic acid in the form of trisodium salt.

A physically stable skin care serum emulsion composition with a continuous phase and a dispersed phase. The continuous phase can include from about 0.5% to about 1.5% sodium hyaluronate with a weight average molecular weight from about 500,000 to about 1,000,000 Da according to the European Pharmacopoeia Method. The continuous phase can also include a thickening agent that includes polyacrylamide polymers and copolymers. The dispersed phase can include silicone. The composition can have an average viscosity from about 4,000 cP to about 25,000 cP and can be stored and dispense via a dropper package.

A physically stable skin care composition with a continuous phase and a dispersed phase and a method for making the same. The continuous phase can include from about 0.5% to about 1.5% sodium hyaluronate with a weight average molecular weight from about 500,000 to about 1,000,000 Da according to the European Pharmacopoeia Method. The continuous phase can also include at least two thickening agents that can includes polyacrylamide polymers and copolymers and a carboxylic acid polymer. The dispersed phase can include silicone. The composition can have an average viscosity greater than 25,000 cP and the sodium hyaluronate can be fully hydrated.

Compositions comprising an aqueous medium, lipids and nonionic surfactants and methods of their use in preventing skin damages, such as in subjects exposed to radiation, are provided.

Disclosed are hair-straightening compositions in liquid form with an aqueous base, or in the form of an emulsion with a fatty phase, comprising glyoxylic acid and levulinic acid.

The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion comprising: (i) at least one C.sub.16-C.sub.30 fatty alcohol; (ii) at least one anionic surfactant of general formula (I): RCOY(CH.sub.2)nSO.sub.3M; (iii) at least one oil; (iv) at least one wax, and (v) at least one hydrophilic solvent, the weight ratio of anionic surfactant(s) of general formula (I)/fatty alcohol(s) ranging from 1/5 to 1/3, said composition comprising from 1% to 10% by weight of wax(es) relative to the total weight of the composition. The present invention also relates to a process for preparing said composition and a cosmetic makeup and/or care process.
