SULFATE-FREE CLEANSING COMPOSITION THAT CONFERS HIGH SALICYLIC ACID DEPOSITION
A cosmetic composition for treating acne includes at least one acne treatment active, for example, salicylic acid or a derivative thereof, which may present in an amount that is greater than 1%, by weight, based on the weight of the sulfate-free cleansing composition, and an aqueous carrier that includes at least one surfactant selected from the group consisting of sarcosinates, betaines, and combinations thereof, at least one solubilizer comprising a polyethylene glycol compound, and water. When the sulfate-free cleansing composition is applied to a keratinous tissue it demonstrates deposition and retention of the beta hydroxy acid on the keratinous tissue after rinsing with water.
Non-rinse micellar water chassis
A non-rinse micellar water composition; method of manufacture for a non-rinse micellar water composition; and a method of use for a micellar water composition are disclosed.
HYDRATABLE COSMETIC COMPOSITION
The present invention is directed to a cosmetic composition precursor that is rapidly hydratable and conducive to creating a personalized end-product. This invention thus relates to a cosmetic composition precursor having fatty acid, inorganic base, and high HLB surfactants and methods of using said precursors in creating the end-product. The invention also relates to end-use compositions made from the hydratable cosmetic composition precursor of the invention.
ANTISEPTIC COMPOSITIONS
In one aspect, provided is an aqueous antiseptic composition comprising glycerin 8.5-16% by weight; caprylyl glycol 0.45-3% by weight; and a first ingredient; wherein the first ingredient is acrylates/C10-30 about 0.01-0.1% by weight or ethoxydiglycol about 1-5% by weight. The glycerin, the caprylyl glycol and the first ingredient taken together form a first component. A sum of the first component is more than 13% by weight of the antiseptic composition. Other exemplary embodiments are also described. In certain embodiments, provided is an antiseptic composition useful for making skin or hand sanitizers that have a long-lasting, great antiseptic efficacy but at the same time having skin-moisturizing, low toxicity and low skin-irritating, hypo-allergenic properties, low inflammability, and low production cost.
Composition comprising at least two fatty acid esters of (poly)glycerol, and use thereof in cosmetics
The invention relates to a composition in the form of a nanoemulsion or microemulsion, comprising: —a first fatty acid ester of polyglycerol which is chosen from a fatty acid ester of polyglycerol formed from at least one acid comprising an alkyl or alkenyl chain containing from 12 to 20 carbon atoms and from 3 to 6 glycerol units; —a second fatty acid ester of (poly)glycerol (c) which is chosen from a fatty acid ester of (poly)glycerol formed from at least one acid comprising an alkyl or alkenyl chain containing from 6 to 18 carbon atoms and from 1 to 3 glycerol units; —at least one organopolysiloxane elastomer; —at least two acrylic acid-based polymers that are different from one another; —at least one amphiphilic polymer comprising at least one 2-acrylamidomethylpropanesulfonic acid (AMPS) unit; —at least one oil; —water. The invention also relates to a cosmetic treatment process for keratin materials such as the skin, by application of such a composition.
