Personal Care Compositions
Disclosed are personal care compositions, e.g., natural liquid soap compositions, comprising an effective amount of a long chain alkyl (C.sub.6-C.sub.22) anionic surfactant (e.g., disodium 2-sulfolaurate), an effective amount of an amphoteric surfactant (e.g., cocamidopropyl betaine), an effective amount of one or more alkyl glucoside(s) (e.g., decyl glucoside and coco-glucoside); and water, as well as to methods of using these compositions.
Oil-in-water emulsion comprising a specific surfactant system
The invention relates to a cosmetic composition in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion comprising: (i) at least one lipophilic surfactant with HLB less than or equal to 9, and (ii) at least one specific anionic surfactant comprising at least one sulfate and/or sulfonate function; said composition comprising from 0% to 8% by weight of additional surfactant(s) relative to the total weight of the composition. It also relates to the associated cosmetic process.
Sulfate free clear personal cleansing composition comprising low inorganic salt
A clear personal cleansing composition having an anionic surfactant, a cationic deposition polymer, an aqueous carrier and a level of inorganic salt of from about 0 to about 1 wt %. The composition is substantially free of sulfates and has a % T of greater than about 80%. The composition can further comprise amphoteric surfactants. The composition remains phase stable and minimizes coacervate formulation until after dilution with water.
Acidic Stick Deodorants
Products and methods are disclosed relating to a deodorant stick comprising mandelic acid.
Core shell silica particles and use for malodor reduction
The present invention relates to core shell silica particles, wherein each core shell silica particle comprises a silica core, and a surface of the silica core is etched with metal silicate, the core shell silica particles prepared by: i) admixing an amount of silica particles in water with an amount of a base, wherein the base comprises a monovalent metal ion, to produce core shell silica particles, each core shell silica particle comprising a silica core, and a surface of the silica core etched with a silicate of the monovalent metal ion; and ii) reacting the core shell silica particles formed in step i) with a metal salt comprising a second metal ion, to form core shell silica particles comprising silicate of the second metal ion on the surface of the silica core.
DENTAL COMPOSITION
The present invention is related to a dental composition comprising: (a) at least one polymerizable monomer having at least one ethylenically unsaturated group; (b) a radical initiator system comprising (i) a photosensitizer having an absorption maximum ranging from 400 nm to 800 nm; (ii) a coinitiator; and (iii) a compound of the following formula (1):
##STR00001## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, which may be the same or different, independently represent a hydrogen atom, a C.sub.1-6 alkyl group, or a C.sub.1-6 alkoxy group; R.sup.3 and R.sup.4, which may be the same or different, independently represent a hydrogen atom, or a C.sub.1-6 alkyl group, or R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 may represent a bond so that the carbon atoms to which R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are bonded are linked by a double bond; R.sup.5 and R.sup.6, which may be the same or different, independently represent a hydrogen atom, or a C.sub.1-6 alkyl group, or R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 may represent a bond so that the carbon atoms to which R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are bonded are linked by a double bond; L represents a single bond or a group —CRH—, wherein R may be a hydrogen atom, a C.sub.1-6 alkyl group, or a C.sub.1-6 alkoxy group; n and m, independently are integers of 1 to 6.
Non-rinse micellar water chassis
A non-rinse micellar water composition; method of manufacture for a non-rinse micellar water composition; and a method of use for a micellar water composition are disclosed.
SULFATE FREE PERSONAL CLEANSING COMPOSITION COMPRISING LOW INORGANIC SALT
Personal cleansing compositions having an anionic surfactant, cationic deposition polymer, a level of inorganic salt of from about 0 to about 1 wt %, and an aqueous carrier. The composition is substantially free of sulfate containing surfactants. The composition can further comprise amphoteric surfactants. The composition remains phase stable, and minimizes coacervate formulation until after dilution with water.
WATER-DISPERSIBLE, OIL-FREE, AND UV-BLOCKING COSMETIC COMPOSITION AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
Provided are an ultraviolet (UV)-blocking cosmetic composition which is dispersed in water and is free of oil and a method of preparing the same. Since the composition does not contain oil, skin trouble may not occur, and since the composition does not include a surfactant, spreadability and feeling of use are excellent. In addition, cloudiness phenomenon or skin greasiness does not occur during use, and the UV-blocking effects are excellent.
ANTISEPTIC COMPOSITIONS
In one aspect, provided is an aqueous antiseptic composition comprising glycerin 8.5-16% by weight; caprylyl glycol 0.45-3% by weight; and a first ingredient; wherein the first ingredient is acrylates/C10-30 about 0.01-0.1% by weight or ethoxydiglycol about 1-5% by weight. The glycerin, the caprylyl glycol and the first ingredient taken together form a first component. A sum of the first component is more than 13% by weight of the antiseptic composition. Other exemplary embodiments are also described. In certain embodiments, provided is an antiseptic composition useful for making skin or hand sanitizers that have a long-lasting, great antiseptic efficacy but at the same time having skin-moisturizing, low toxicity and low skin-irritating, hypo-allergenic properties, low inflammability, and low production cost.
