Workpiece discharging devices and related systems and methods
A machine tool for processing workpieces includes a processing device from which processed products to be discharged can be produced from a workpiece; and a discharge device including a discharge flap that can be pivoted into a discharge position inclined downwards relative to a horizontal position in order to discharge processed products and which defines a discharge direction in the discharge position, the discharge flap comprising a part support disposed along the upper side of the discharge flap along which the processed products move during discharge in the discharge direction, where the part support has at least two support regions which extend in the discharge direction and which are configured to accommodate different types of processed products.
Apparatus, system, and method for supporting a wing assembly
A method and apparatus for supporting a structure. The apparatus may comprise a support, a load-balancing structure associated with the support, and a set of connection devices associated with the load-balancing structure. The set of connection devices may be configured to connect to the structure to form a set of control points. Each of the set of connection devices may be configured to independently control a location of a corresponding control point in the set of control points.
Flexible manufacturing for aircraft structures
A method and apparatus for manufacturing an aircraft structure. A drivable support may be driven from a first location to a second location to bring the drivable support together with at least one other drivable support to form a drivable support system. A structure may be held in a desired position using the drivable support system.
Method for positioning a component and component positioning device
A method is provided for positioning a component, in particular a sheet metal component, which has a first hole or a first recess. The component with the first hole or the first recess is placed on a first support which is spherical-shaped or shaped as a spherical cap.
Tooling for holding thin metal parts making up a hollow structure in order to enable them to be friction-welded together
A tooling for holding a set of preformed parts to be friction-welded together to construct a generally plane hollow structure is provide. The tooling includes a framework for receiving the preformed parts inside the framework for welding together to form the hollow structure. The framework includes shape-holder members which are shaped to correspond and contact the outer surfaces of the preformed parts. At least one anvil is disposed inside the framework. A reversible clamp is installed inside the framework and movable into a clamping position in which the clamp inflates to apply opposing thrust in at least two directions such that thrust is applied in a lateral direction to the anvil and applied in a second direction to the inside surface of the preformed parts disposed. The set of preformed parts is held in a welding position with the clamp and framework while a welding operation is performed.
Pickup and alignment mechanism for logs and a method of use
A pickup and alignment mechanism for logs is disclosed along with a method of using the mechanism. The pickup and alignment mechanism includes a frame, a connector and a plurality of L-shaped tines secured to the frame. The plurality of L-shaped tines is grouped into pairs. The pickup and alignment mechanism also includes a pair of side tines. The pickup and alignment mechanism is designed to be removably mounted to a motorized vehicle. All of the L-shaped tines can be hydraulically or pneumatically actuated to remove from between one to six logs from a stacked pile of logs. The one to six logs are then raised above ground level and are aligned relative to one another so that they can be easily cut into smaller piece of firewood by a person with a chain saw.
Machining system
A machining system including a base; multiple work modules arranged in an arrangement direction on the base, at least one of the multiple work modules being a processing module, which processes a work with a tool, provided with a main shaft head including a main shaft on which a tool is attached and a main shaft rotating device that rotates the main shaft; a head raising and lowering device that moves the main shaft head in a vertical direction; a head moving device that moves the main shaft head in a horizontal plane by moving it in two perpendicular directions; and a work table that holds a work; the processing module being configured so as to be pulled from the base along a path extending in an intersecting direction, which is a direction perpendicular to the arrangement direction.
Multi-size adaptable spin chuck system
A novel interchangeable spin chuck system is provided that allows the user to quickly change substrate sizes and spin chuck styles without any extra tools. This system has a two-piece design and overcomes many of the drawbacks of previous spin chuck designs, such as difficulty in seating the spin chuck and ensuring that the spin chuck is at a consistent flatness and height. Furthermore, this spin chuck system allows the spin chucks to be manufactured at a lower cost. Thus, rather than restricting users to make do with incorrect spin chucks due to budget limitations, this economical design gives users access to a wider range of spin chuck sizes and styles.
Machine tool
The present invention relates to a machine tool including a ram spindle and a tool holder, and provides a machine tool comprising: a tool holder including at least two inserts; and a ram spindle capable of fixing the tool holder in a clamped state or rotating the tool holder in order to change the position of the insert, such that the position of the insert can be quickly changed, thereby enabling an improvement in productivity and precision and a reduction in product costs.
POSITIONING FIXTURE AND METHOD OF USING THE FIXTURE
A method of assembling a structure using a fixture is disclosed. The fixture includes a first portion including a first positioning face, a first contact face, and a first clamping face. Each of the first positioning face, the first contact face, and the first clamping face is movable in a first working direction. The fixture also includes a second portion including a second positioning face, a second contact face, and a second clamping face. Each of the second positioning face, the second contact face, and the second clamping face is movable in a second working direction opposite to the first working direction. When the fixture is installed on the beam, the first contact face and the second contact face abut each other, and the first clamping face and the second clamping face engage the web.
