A microencapsulated delivery system, composition or method is disclosed in which one or more agents to be delivered are encapsulated in small capsules (e.g., microcapsules), and the capsules are applied or adhered to one or more surfaces of a substrate. The encapsulated agent is latently released upon exposure to appropriate conditions.

A personal care composition for cosmetic treatment of skin that provides an improved moisturization signal to a user and exhibits good feel properties. The composition includes a dimethicone fluid or a blend of dimethicone fluids with a viscosity of greater than 1000 centistokes (cSt). The present invention generally relates to skin care and, in particular, to systems and methods for treating and/or preventing acne. Acne is believed to be caused by a combination of factors, including Propionibacterium acnes bacteria, excess sebum production, and inflammation from the immune response (e.g., in response to P. acnes). The present invention is related to a combination for obtaining improved stability of a Vitamin A ester and Vitamin C formulation, achieved via including a specific Vitamin A derivative and one of several other Vitamin C derivatives. This combination shows an enhanced stability in varied cosmetic formulations as a function of time and at different environmental conditions.
