A three-part method of cleaning a user's teeth and/or gums is disclosed. First, a user applies a tonic of essential oils to the user's teeth and/or gums by either brushing, rubbing, rinsing and/or flossing with the tonic thereby destroying harmful bacteria. Second, the user brushes with a toothpaste having nano-hydroxyapatite being particles of 50 nanometers or smaller. The nano-hydroxyapatite is absorbed into the surface opening inside dentinal tubules of the teeth. Third, the user seeds their mouth with an oral probiotic having beneficial bacteria. The third step must come after both the first and second steps.

Materials and methods for formulating skin care compositions suitable for use on babies and toddlers are provided herein. For example, this document provides materials and methods for formulating lotion compositions that contain natural ingredients, are not irritating to babies' skin, and can be used to moisturize and soothe dry skin.

A hydroglycolic cosmetic composition includes at least one or a combination of skin actives comprising at least one of ascorbic acid, a cinnamic acid derivative, Vitamin E, or a combination of these, and a glycol or combination of glycols selected from the group consisting of: dipropylene glycol, pentylene glycol, hexylene glycol, a combination of dipropylene glycol and pentylene glycol, and a combination of dipropylene glycol and hexylene glycol. Disclosed is a topical composition including essential combination of synergistically acting phyto-active materials, non-psychotropic phytocannabinoids from the plant of Cannabis sativa: Cannabidiol, Cannabidiolic acid, Cannabivarin Cannabigerol in combination with extract of Calendula flower and the formulation of the base to ensure the features of anti-inflammation, anti-oxidation, emollient, and bactericidal components. The topical composition is an emollient dedicated for reduction of skin lesions caused by atopic dermatitis, urticaria, radiotherapy and UV induced skin damage and acne. In addition the topical composition could reduce secretion of fats, facilitate deep skin hydration, reduce pores and exert soothing effect.

In some embodiments, a formulation may include one or more of a lipid-soluble vitamin C compound, derivative, or analog, a cinnamic acid derivative, one or more lipid-soluble vitamin E compounds, and a lipid-based carrier. In some embodiments, the cinnamic acid may include one or more of p-coumaric acid, ferulic acid, caffeic acid, sinapinic acid, combinations thereof, and cis and trans isomers thereof. In some embodiments, the vitamin E compounds may alpha, beta, delta and gamma tocotrienols.

A skin care moisturizing, exfoliating and light reflecting oil includes a plant extract base, for example a composition of coconut oil and hibiscus oil which accounts for less than half of the total volume of the skin care oil. The moisturizing skin care oil also includes one or more essential oils disposed in the plant extract base which essential oils contain essential fatty acids while providing at least one skin softening emollient. Importantly, the moisturizing skin care oil includes an exfoliating and light reflecting powder dispersed within the essential oils. Finally, the moisturizing skin care oil includes a stabilizer, such as vitamin E.
