NON-FLAMMABLE, DRY PERSONAL CARE PRODUCT CONTAINING trans-1233zd AND ETHANOL
Disclosed are devices and methods for applying a hair and/or skin and/or scalp care product using a a personal care formulation having an active component for treating the hair and/or scalp and/or skin of the user and a carrier for the active component, wherein the carrier comprises from about 4% to about 10% by weight based on the contents of the container of trans-1233zd and from about 1% to less than 5% by weight ethanol, where in the weight ratio of said trans-1233zd:ethanol is at least about 2.
Semi-permanent colorant composition for hair
A semi-permanent colorant composition is provided that is exhibits excellent color deposit without heat or oxidative treatment, and resists fading throughout several washes.
EMULSIFYING COMPOSITION FOR COSMETIC USE FOR PRODUCING AN O/W PICKERING EMULSION AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THIS EMULSION
The application relates to an emulsifying composition, in particular for cosmetic use, allowing an oil-in-water emulsion (O/W) to be obtained, the emulsion comprising at least one cyclodextrin and at least one O/W emulsifier of natural origin with a hydrophilic-lipophilic balance value (HLB) of more than 8. The O/W emulsifier of natural origin can be selected from alkyl polyglucosides, mixtures of at least one alkyl polyglucoside and at least one fatty alcohol, and non-ethoxylated polyol fatty esters. The application also relates to a composition of the Pickering emulsion type, in particular for cosmetic use, containing the emulsifying composition according to the invention, and to the process for preparing such a composition of the O/W Pickering emulsion type, in particular at low temperatures.
EMULSIFYING AND TEXTURING COMPOSITION BASED ON STARCHES AND GUMS, FOR COSMETICS
The object of the present application is a solid composition for use in cosmetics, comprising at least one modified starch carrying at least one hydrophobic and/or amphiphilic functional group, at least one modified starch carrying at least one hydrophilic functional group, at least one gum of microbial or fungal origin, and at least two plant-based gums. Such a composition has emulsifying and texturing properties.
COMBINATION OF MODIFIED STARCH/C13-C15 FATTY ACID/CLAY
The present invention relates to a composition, comprising (a) at least one modified starch, (b) at least one C.sub.13-C.sub.15 fatty acid, and (c) at least one clay. The amount of each of the ingredients (a) to (c) may be within a specific weight range. The composition according to the present invention is stable, and can be rinsed off from the skin and can leave an enhanced deposition of clay on the skin after rinsing off the composition from the skin.
SOLID CLEANSER COMPOSITION
The present invention relates to a solid cleanser composition including starch, sodium cocoyl isethionate, glycerin, and a conditioning agent as active ingredients. The solid cleanser composition and the method for preparing the same can prevent side effects of the skin, such as skin itching and hair loss, since not including sulfate-based surfactants, and preservatives. In addition, the solid cleanser which includes sodium cocoyl isethionate, glycerin and natural plant extracts is not easily softened and does not crumble easily to provide excellent usability, and provides excellent foaming and cleaning ability.
Methods for Enhancing Transdermal and Intradermal Delivery of Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs)
Methods for transdermal delivery of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) are disclosed, comprising applying ultrasound to the skin followed by topical administration of one or more GAGs optionally complexed with a polysaccharide carrier. When GAG is hyaluronic acid complexed with a modified starch, a transdermal delivery method is provided for facilitating delivery of high molecular weight hyaluronic acid into deep layers of the epidermis and to the dermis in a non-invasive, convenient and painless way. This transdermal delivery method may be applied in treatment of skin aging phenomena associated with collagen and/or hyaluronic acid depletion or loss.
Polyurethane gel composition and use thereof
Provided is a polyurethane gel composition containing A and B below. Here, A represents a polyurethane obtained by reaction of (a) a hydrogenated polybutadiene having isocyanate groups at the terminals and (b) a glycol represented by HO—R.sub.3—OH (wherein R.sub.3 represents a linear or branched C2 to C6 alkylene group optionally having an ether bond), or A represents a polyurethane obtained by reaction of (c) a hydrogenated polybutadiene having hydroxyl groups at the terminals, (d) a diisocyanate compound, and the (b) glycol represented by HO—R.sub.3—OH (wherein R.sub.3 represents a linear or branched C2 to C6 alkylene group optionally having an ether bond), and B represents an oil agent. The polyurethane gel composition of the present invention is particularly useful as a raw material for cosmetics since a film of an oil-soluble gel obtained using the polyurethane gel composition is exceptionally excellent in any point of transparency, high gloss, elasticity, and resilience.
IMPROVED FORMULATIONS OF LIPOPHILIC SUBTANCES FOR COSMETIC USES
The invention generally provides a range of compositions and methods that are highly applicable to the field of cosmetics. The invention applies a nanotechnological approach to produce a new generation of compositions providing an improved topical and dermal delivery of lipophilic actives, and specifically non-therapeutic actives that serve as a basis for a range of skin care, personal care, and fragrance products.
Hair care compositions comprising cationic compounds, starch, and silane compounds
Disclosed are compositions for treating and conditioning keratinous substrates, comprising a cationic agent comprising quaternary ammonium compounds; a modified starch; silane compounds, a cationic vinylpyrrolidone polymer and water. Also disclosed are methods treating and conditioning keratinous substrates using the composition.
