Fences for table saws
Fences for use in table saws are disclosed. One embodiment may include an actuator, handle or lever to lock and unlock the fence from the table, where the actuator, handle or lever is positioned substantially above the tabletop and substantially within the perimeter of the table (including any rail associated with the table). Another embodiment may include an actuator, handle or lever to lock and unlock the fence from the table, where the actuator, handle or lever is positioned along a top surface of the fence and configured so that the fence unclamps from the saw when the actuator, handle or lever is pressed.
Ground anchor strap puller, tensioner and cutter
A tool for advancing and tensioning a strap of an erosion control system through an aperture of a retaining washer to provide hold down pressure to an erosion control mat is described. The tool has a foot member that is positioned atop the retaining washer and serves to hold it in place during the installation operation. An upright support bar extends above the foot member and a slide tensioning subassembly is mounted for sliding movement on the support bar. A clamp is carried on the slide tensioning subassembly for releasably grasping the strap. A handle is mounted on the upright support bar for up and down sliding movement and interconnected to the slide tensioning subassembly and the clamp so that downward movement of the handle closes the clamp to grasp the strap and pull the slide member upwardly to advance the strap through the washer.
Cutting Mechanism
There is disclosed a cutting mechanism for severing elongate fibre reinforcement material in composite material lay-up equipment, the cutting mechanism comprising a cutting element and a counteracting element which cooperate to sever fibre reinforcement material extending through the nip between them, the cutting element being mounted on an elongate arm which is pivotable about a pivot axis A spaced from the nip, to displace the cutting element relatively to the counteracting element to perform a cutting stroke, the mechanism further comprising guide means arranged to guide the fibre reinforcement material through the nip in a feed direction transverse to the pivot axis A, and an actuation device for driving the elongate arm in a cutting stroke, the actuation device acting on the elongate arm at a position away from the cutting element. There is also provided composite material lay-up equipment comprising the cutting mechanism.

Push/pull rotary cutting apparatus driven by substrate
An apparatus for cutting fiberglass insulation batting with a rotary blade where an elongate section of fiberglass insulation batting is manually pushed into an inlet of the apparatus whereupon the blade bites into the fiberglass insulation batting and whereupon the elongate now split section of fiberglass insulation batting begins to protrude from the outlet of the apparatus, whereupon the protruding sections of fiberglass insulation batting are manually grabbed and pulled through the apparatus further driving the rotary blade and further cutting the fiberglass insulation batting.
Rip fence having dual adjustment for a power tool
A guide assembly, or rip fence, supported by guides of a table saw includes a clamping apparatus having locking mechanisms located at each end of the guide assembly. Each of the locking mechanisms is independently adjustable to provide accurate and repeatable positioning of the guide assembly with respect to the table and with respect to the saw blade with self-alignment and desired force. An adjustable locking self-alignment spring provides for self-alignment of the rip fence with respect to the blade.
