METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ORAL PH CHANGE
Disclosed is a new method, and a system, for increasing the pH of a composition applied on teeth and/or gums. The composition is gelable under the influence of a pH change. The pH change typically is a pH increase in the event of a direct pH-triggered gelation. The pH change typically is a pH decrease in the event of gelation induced by ions, such as calcium ions, released from a pH-sensitive carrier. The device comprises a dispensing unit for the composition, a distal end of which is adapted to apply said substance onto teeth or gums. The device further comprises an electrode system comprising first and second electrodes, the first electrode being adapted to be held against the composition at a location at or near teeth or gums, and the second electrode being adapted to be held against the composition at a location away from teeth or gums, The electrode system is adapted so as to provide an electrical potential difference of 1.5 to 10 Volt between the electrodes.
Hair Darkening Dye Composition
A hair darkening dye composition, comprises: 2-98 parts by weight of hair dye; 1-99 parts by weight of darkening agent; 2-98 parts by weight of crosslinking agent; 2-98 parts by weight of emulsifier; 2-98 parts by weight of dyeing auxiliaries; and 0.1-40 parts by weight of pH regulator. The darkening agent is selected from one or more of chitin, chitosan, gelatin, silicon oil and resin. The chitin, chitosan and gelatin have a relative molecular weight of less than 2.7×10.sup.4, and the silicon oil and resin have a refractive index of less than 1.55.
CLEANING COMPOSITION
The present invention provides a cleaning composition for contact or non-contact surface comprising: a water-soluble surfactant; a medium chain triglyceride (MCT); a non-ionic surfactant; an emulsifying agent; a wetting agent; and a maltodextrin. The present invention also discloses a method for cleaning the contact or non-contact surface in the manufacturing area where turmeric gets processed. In another embodiment, the cleaning composition for skin or nails comprising: a water-soluble surfactant; a medium chain triglyceride (MCT); a non-ionic surfactant; an emulsifying agent; a wetting agent; a thickening agent; an adsorbent; an oxidizer; and a maltodextrin is disclosed. The method for cleaning the skin or nails is also disclosed in the present invention.
Dentifrice Composition
Described herein are dentifrices comprising stannous ions, fluoride ions, non-crustacean derived chitosan, and an abrasive system. Methods of making and using these dentifrices are also described.
Carboxyalkyl chitosan
The present invention relates to a carboxyalkyl chitosan, compositions comprising same, a process for manufacturing same, and various applications thereof, in particular in the field of therapy, rheumatology, ophthalmology, esthetic medicine, plastic surgery, internal surgery, dermatology or cosmetics.
APPLICATOR FOR AN ORAL CARE COMPOSITION
Disclosed is a new system for the application of mucoadhesive oral care compositions. The system comprises an applicator, the inner surface of which is made anti-adhesive. Particularly, said inner surface is rendered positively charged, so as to be anti-adhesive for positively charged mucoadhesive oral care compositions, such as those based on chitosan.
PREPARATION METHOD, PRODUCT AND APPLICATION OF NON-FREE RADICAL PHOTO-CROSSLINKED HYDROGEL MATERIAL
A method for preparing non-free radical photo-crosslinked hydrogels includes: dissolving component A that is a polymer derivative modified with o-nitrobenzyl phototrigger in a biocompatible medium to obtain solution A; dissolving component B that is a polymer derivative containing hydrazide, hydroxylamine or primary amine in a biocompatible medium to obtain solution B; mixing solution A and solution B to obtain a precursor solution of hydrogel; under light irradiation, crosslinking aldehyde generated from the o-nitrobenzyl with the hydrazine, hydroxylamine or primary amine to obtain a hydrogel by forming hydrazone, oxime or schiff base, respectively. A kit for preparation and application of the hydrogel in tissue repair, beauty therapy, and cells, proteins or drugs carriers is also described. The method or kit can achieve in situ photo-gelling on tissue surface or in situ forming thin gel on wounds in clinical treatment of wounds.
NANOCAPSULES COATED WITH CHITOSAN AND USE THEREOF
The present invention relates to nanocapsules coated with chitosan, and a use thereof. A method for preparing nanocapsules having a particle size of 500 nm or less having excellent stability, and a poorly soluble drug is loaded in the nanocapsules prepared by the method, so that an excellent skin permeability rate of drug-containing nanocapsules, drug delivery into the skin achieved thereby, and efficacy caused by the drug are exhibited. Increase in the bioavailability of active ingredients in vivo through oral administration of the prepared nanocapsules is confirmed, and thus it is expected that nanocapsules coated with chitosan of the present invention are used to develop an excellent delivery system, of which the delivery efficiency of a poorly soluble drug or the active ingredients to animals, and companion animals is significantly increased, in the pharmaceutical field, cosmetics industry, food industry, and the like.
Nano-complexes for enamel remineralization
The invention relates to nano-sized complexes formed by associating amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) and/or amorphous calcium fluoride phosphate (ACFP) with an amphiphilic polymer surfactant. The amphiphilic polymer surfactants can form nano-sized assemblies in aqueous solution, serving as a nano dispersant preventing ACP and/or ACFP from aggregation, and as a nano carrier associating or attaching ACP and/or ACFP, stabilizing ACP and/or ACFP against the conversion to a crystalline form as well, thus maintaining calcium and phosphate/and fluoride ions in a bioavailable state for dental re-mineralization and prevention of dental caries, dental calculus and dental hyper-sensitivity. A method for the nano-sized complex preparation and compositions comprising the nano-sized complexes are also provided.
APYROGENIC PREPARATION CONTAINING NANOPARTICLES SYNTHESISED BY MAGNETOTACTIC BACTERIA FOR MEDICAL OR COSMETIC APPLICATIONS
A non-pyrogenic preparation containing nanoparticles synthesized by magnetotactic bacteria for medical or cosmetic applications. The nanoparticles are constituted by a crystallized mineral central part including predominantly an iron oxide, as well as a surrounding coating without material from the magnetotactic bacteria.
