An applicator for providing an active composition to a surface, the applicator comprising a cellulosic substrate having anionic sites (e.g. paper, paper laminates, cardboard or a woven or non-woven plant fabric such as a wood pulp or cotton material); and an impregnated or coated composition, the impregnated composition comprising a bioactive cationic component in an amount sufficient in use to deactivate the anionic sites in the cellulosic substrate and to provide a desired effect, for example, a biocidal effect, enhanced skin feel, enhanced skin health and fabric softening. The applicator may be in the form of a sheet wipe, with a single or multiple layers of cellulosic substrate. The applicator is preferably substantially dry. Also, an applicator for providing an active composition to a surface, the applicator comprising at least two layers of cellulosic substrate having anionic sites; said layers being adhered to each other by an adhesive composition comprising a cationic component in an amount sufficient in use to deactivate the anionic sites in the cellulosic substrate and to provide a desired effect. The adhesive composition may also comprise a water-soluble or water dispersible adhesive polymer. Also methods of preparing and using the applicator e.g. to disinfect skin or an inanimate surface.

EYELASH ADHESIVE EYELINER FORMULATION

A lash adhesive liner formulation includes a pressure-sensitive adhesive and between about 0.02 and about 0.3 weight percent glycerin, where the pressure-sensitive adhesive is activated by pressing a lash band of a lash against the pressure-sensitive adhesive that has been applied to the eyelid. The lash is secured near a lashline of an eyelid by applying a layer of lash adhesive liner formulation to the eyelid, allowing the lash adhesive liner formulation that has been applied to the eyelid to dry for 5-15 seconds so that the lash adhesive liner formulation becomes tacky, and then pressing the lash band of the lash firmly against the tacky lash adhesive liner. The lash adhesive liner formulation may include a colorant, such that the formulation may also substitute for an eyeliner.

System for thickening a dye preparation containing percarbonate

The present falls within the field of cosmetics and relates to a cosmetic product for oxidatively changing the colour of keratinous fibres, particularly human hair. An exemplary cosmetic product includes (i) at least one cosmetic composition (KM) comprising (a) at least one oxidising compound, and (b) two or more thickening agents, and (ii) at least one cosmetic dye composition (FZ). The oxidising compound is a solid oxidising agent and is selected from the group of a percarbonate salt, a perborate salt and percarbamide salt. Further, the two or more thickening agents comprise an at least partially ionic polysaccharide and a substantially non-ionic polysaccharide. Also described is a method for dyeing hair.

POLYUREA AND POLY(BETA-AMINO ESTER) CAPSULES WITH ENHANCED DEGRADABILITY
20220081560 · 2022-03-17 ·

Microcapsules encapsulating oily core materials have a shell material of hybrid polyurea and poly(beta-amino esters) (PU/PBAE). The microcapsules may have a single shell of hybrid PU/PBAE, dual shells including hybrid PU/PBAE in an inner shell and PBAE in an outer shell crosslinked and deposited to the inner shell, or multiple shells including PU in an inner shell, hybrid PU/PBAE in a transitioning shell, and PBAE in an outer shell. Formation of the microcapsules includes polymerization between multifunctional amine and multifunctional acrylate to produce a water soluble PBAE; polymerization between polyisocyanate in oil phase and multifunctional amine in aqueous solution to produce PU microcapsule, polymerization between polyisocyanate and the amine moiety of PBAE prepolymer to produce hybrid PU/PBAE microcapsule wall; and polymerization between multifunctional acrylate and primary or secondary amine moiety of the PBAE prepolymer to form a PBAE outer shell.
