Apparatus and method for manufacturing field-pole magnet

A field-pole magnet manufacturing apparatus fractures a magnet fixed on a die serving as a lower tool by causing a punch of an upper tool to press the magnet while in contact with the magnet. At least one projection is formed in the punch of the upper tool symmetrically with respect to the central position of the magnet in the width direction of the magnet.

Razor blade, razor head, and method of manufacture

An integrally formed rigid razor blade has, in cross-section transverse to a longitudinal axis, a cutting edge portion, a base portion, and a bent portion. The cutting edge portion extends along a cutting edge portion axis and has a cutting edge at one end. The base portion extends along a base portion axis and has a rear edge at one end. The bent portion is intermediate the cutting edge portion and the base portion. The rear edge of the base portion is serrated along the longitudinal axis. The serrations have a height of between 0.13 millimeters and 0.32 millimeters.

RAZOR BLADE, RAZOR HEAD, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE

An integrally formed rigid razor blade is provided. The razor blade includes a cutting edge portion extending along a cutting edge portion axis and having a cutting edge at one end, a base portion extending along a base portion axis, and a bent portion intermediate the cutting edge portion and the base portion. The bent portion has an average radius of curvature of between 0.4 millimeters and 1.05 millimeters. The cutting edge portion has a cantilever dimension which is a constant distance of between 1.1 millimeters and 1.8 millimeters when measured from the cutting edge portion to the base portion axis.

A razor head includes a housing and at least one integrally formed rigid razor blade. The housing has a top face defining a shaving window and an opposed stopping face. The razor blades are freely mounted in the housing and have a cutting edge portion and a guided portion. A bent portion is intermediate the cutting edge portion and the guided portion. A cantilever dimension, measured as the distance between the cutting edge and a guided portion axis, is between 1.1 millimeters and 1.8 millimeters. The guided portion cooperates with a guide so that each blade is independently translatable with respect to the housing along a sliding direction parallel to the guided portion axis under the effect of shaving forces applied to the blade during shaving.

RAZOR BLADE, RAZOR HEAD, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE

An integrally formed rigid razor blade made of martensitic stainless steel includes a cutting edge portion, a base portion, and a bent portion. The cutting edge portion extends along a cutting edge portion axis and has a cutting edge at one end. The base portion extends along a base portion axis. The bent portion is intermediate the cutting edge portion and the base portion. The blade has a concave face and an opposed convex face. An average radius of curvature of the concave face of the bent portion is between 0.4 millimeters and 1 millimeter.

AUTOMATIC TOWEL DISPENSER

Dispensing towels includes, using a motor assembly configured to cause a leading edge of the toweling to be extended from a housing of the dispenser and to cause the toweling to be subsequently retracted back into the housing, (a) the step of extending the toweling exterior of the housing for grasping by a user; and (b) subsequent thereto, the steps of (1) retracting the toweling into the housing using the motor assembly; (2) sensing a leading edge of the toweling, using a sensor, while retracting the toweling; and (3) ceasing retracting of the toweling into the housing using the motor assembly as a function of sensing the leading edge of the toweling using the sensor. The toweling is advanced by the motor assembly such that a line of perforations in the toweling, along which the user tears the toweling, is located downstream of the sensor.

An apparatus and a method distributes printed slips or tickets that are obtained from a continuous strip of material in which the strip is cut by a stationary blade when the user tensions the strip by pulling an end thereof. A driven dragging roller that makes the strip advance in an intermittent manner is interrupted if a sensor detects that the strip is tensioned to be cut.
