Barn door handle assembly, strike assembly, and lock system
A barn door and wall strike assembly, including a barn door to slide laterally in a first direction and a second direction with respect to a door frame, a handle set assembly attached to the barn door, the handle set assembly including a handle to allow the barn door to open, and a lock having a bolt to lock the barn door when the bolt is extended, and a wall strike attached to the door frame, the strike including a plate to contact the door frame, and a bolt receiving member disposed on the plate, the bolt receiving member comprising an aperture to receive the bolt.
Gate lifter latch
A gate lifter latch having a striker assembly having a striker pin, the striker assembly mounted to the free end of a gate, and a catch lifting assembly mounted to a latch post, the catch lifting assembly having a pivoting lift arm that receives a striker pin, such that during closure of the gate the pivoting lift arm pivots upward and raises the striker pin and free end of the gate. The gate lifter latch may further have a manual or automatic gate latch assembly for securement of the gate in the closed position. The components of the gate lifter latch are preferably structured such that the gate lifter latch may be disassembled and reassembled for use with either a left or right inswing or outswing gate.
Portable door securement device
A portable door securement device is provided having a member extending from a first end engaged to a doorknob of a door to a second end engaged with a floor adjacent the door, to prevent opening of the door in a direction toward the engaged member. A slot at a first end of the member engages around a stem of the door handle thereby preventing disengagement of the member from the door, and preventing opening of the door.
Latch apparatus
A wire crate latch apparatus having, in a first embodiment, a pivoting member that is continually drawn to a closed position by gravity and that is deflected into a catch when the door having the pivoting member is swung closed. The latch apparatus further includes upper and lower stops to contain a distal end of the pivoting member and to hold the distal end in the position to hit an oblique portion of the catch when the door is closed. In a second embodiment, a sliding latch apparatus is deflected by a catch and is relatively inaccessible from inside of the wire crate by back plates on the latch and catch.
CLOSURE SYSTEM THAT RESISTS SEPARATION WHEN LATERALLY LOADED
An exemplary closure system includes, among other things, a striker assembly, a latch assembly, and a hooked structure. In response to the striker assembly and the latch assembly being laterally displaced from each other, the hooked structure engages one of the striker assembly or the latch assembly to block separation of the striker assembly from the latch assembly. An exemplary latching method includes, among other things, engaging a hooked structure in response to a striker assembly being laterally displaced relative to a latch assembly. The engaging blocks the striker assembly from separating relative to the latch assembly.
CABINET SECURITY SYSTEM
A process and apparatus for providing a cabinet security system is disclosed. The system includes a magnetic lock to be mounted on a movable cabinet panel and a catch that is mounted on a cabinet frame and configured to engage the magnetic lock to hold the cabinet panel in a closed position relative to the cabinet frame.
ELECTRIC DOOR STRIKE KEEPER
An actuator-controlled electric strike for operating in conjunction with a spring latch of a lockset is provided. The strike comprises a housing having an entry chamber therein, and a spring latch keeper disposed in the entry chamber for movement between a keeper locked position and a keeper unlocked position. The spring latch keeper is rotatable about a keeper axis of rotation. The spring latch keeper includes: a keeper face configured for abutting contact with the spring latch when the spring latch is disposed in the entry chamber and the spring latch is in the engaged position; a second surface recessed from the keeper face, and a spring latch contact ridge positioned between the keeper face and the second surface, wherein the spring latch contact ridge is disposed at a non-perpendicular angle from the keeper axis of rotation.
STRIKER FOR USE IN LATCH ASSEMBLY
Striker assemblies and latch assemblies are disclosed. One striker assembly includes a housing, a striker, and a spring. The housing has opposed sidewalls, each of which defines an aperture. The striker extends between the sidewalls of the housing with end portions of the striker positioned within respective apertures defined in the sidewalls. Each of the pair of end portions defines a surface extending in a transverse direction. The spring has a pair of end portions. Each spring end portion contacts the surface of a respective striker end portion. The spring is engaged with the housing to bias the end portions of the striker toward a centered position of the respective apertures. At least one of the end portions of the striker is movable transversely within the respective aperture away from the centered position of the respective aperture and is biased toward the centered position of the respective aperture.
SEAL FOR A LATCH
The object of the invention is a seal (10) for an inlet opening (120) of a latch (100), in particular a motor vehicle latch, having at least a partially flexible sealing element (11) with at least an insertion slot (12), whereby a first seal wing (11.1) and a second seal wing (11.2) are formed on the sealing element (11), whereby a striker can at least be partially arranged in the inlet slot (11).
