Disclosed is a microcapsule composition containing a microcapsule and an aminopolysiloxane. The microcapsule has an oil core including an active material and a capsule wall encapsulating the oil core. The microcapsule wall is formed of an encapsulating polymer. Also disclosed are a method of preparing the microcapsule composition and a consumer product containing the microcapsule composition.

FARNESENE-BASED MACROMONOMERS AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME

A macromonomer precursor is provided that includes a polymeric chain derived from farnesene and a single functional terminal end. The functional terminal end may include a hydroxyl group, an amino group, an epoxy group, an isocyanato group, or a carboxylic acid group. The terminal end of the macromonomer precursor may then be reacted with a (meth)acrylate to form a macromonomer having a (meth)acrylate functionalized terminal end that may be (co)polymerized with radically polymerizable monomers, such as alkyl(meth)acrylate monomers. Alternatively, a copolymer may be obtained by first deriving a poly(meth)acrylate from (meth)acrylate monomers having reactive groups that would allow the macromonomer precursors to be grafted onto the poly(meth)acrylate in a second step. The resulting copolymer may be incorporated as an additive in various formulations, such as a lubricant, a hydraulic fluid, a cosmetic composition, and an adhesive composition.

COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR IMPROVING THE APPEARANCE OF THE SKIN

The disclosure relates to compositions and methods for improving the appearance of the skin. Compositions comprise at least one thermoplastic elastomer, at least one adhesive polymer, and at least one filler. Methods comprise applying the compositions to the skin to tighten the skin or hide skin imperfections by forming a film on the skin.

ANTI-WRINKLING PAD WITH ACTIVATOR SUBSTANCE
20180015028 · 2018-01-18 ·

Some embodiments may provide a revolutionary cosmetic product to reduce the appearance of fine lines and/or wrinkles in a person's skin. In particular, an anti-wrinkle system may include a substantially flat silicone pad to be affixed to a person's skin (e.g., in an area around the person's chest, torso, neck, face, hands, backside, knees, etc.) and an activator substance to be applied between the silicone pad and the person's skin, including a humectant and a ferment in a suitable carrier. The activator substance might be associated with, for example, a gel, a cream, a lotion, a serum, and/or a mist. According to some embodiments, the anti-wrinkle medical grade silicone pad uses a mixture of ingredients harnessing them to represent a breakthrough, game-changing advance in the field of cosmetics that enhances the benefits of the anti-wrinkle medical grade silicone pad through additional wrinkle reduction beyond the anti-wrinkly pad alone.

Devices, systems, materials, and methods for contouring a volume of hair are described. A hair contouring device can include a contouring source. The contouring source can be configured to generate contouring electromagnetic radiation within a first energy range to induce a conformation change of a hydrogel formulation. The hair contouring device can include a fixing source. The fixing source can be configured to generate curing electromagnetic radiation within a second energy range to induce a photo-curing transition of the hydrogel formulation. The hair contouring device can include an input component. The hair contouring device can also include control circuitry, electrically coupled with the contouring source, the fixing source, and the input component. The control circuitry can be configured to receive an input from the input component and to control the contouring source or the fixing source in accordance with the input.
