A repair device for underwater repair of a hole in a nuclear reactor part includes a holder (32), a cutting tool (22) held by the holder (32) and having at least one cutting tooth (70) for remachining an inner surface of the hole. The cutting tool (22) has a suction channel (44) extending into the cutting tool (22) between at least one inlet opening (46) and at least one outlet opening (48), a drive shaft (34) for rotating the cutting tool (22), the drive shaft (34) being held by the holder (32), and a suction tube (36) connected to the holder (32) and fluidly connected to the outlet opening (48) of the suction channel (44).

Indexable plenum

An indexable plenum and a method of using the plenum to collect dust and/or debris during a cutting or milling process are disclosed. The plenum, when attached to the spindle nose of a conventional machine, enables the conventional machine that does not have a hollow spindle nose to be used with a hollow or conventional solid cutter to remove dust and/or debris generated during the cutting process. The indexable plenum comprises a hollow body and a base plate. Hollow bodies of different shape and size that are able to fit differently shaped and sized cutters are disclosed. The hollow bodies can be designed to releasably engage with the same base plate such that when the base plate is attached to the machine spindle nose, hollow bodies can be exchanged during a milling or cutting process to accommodate correspondingly shaped/sized cutters. In various embodiments, the object that is cut or milled is low density foam.

ADJUSTABLE DIAMETER HOLE CUTTER
20190022771 · 2019-01-24 ·

A hole cutter assembly is operable to cut a plurality of different sized diameter holes in a work piece. The hole cutter assembly includes an arbor configured to connect to a power tool for rotation about an axis, a drill bit coupled to the arbor for rotation with the arbor, a first arm moveable relative to the axis, a first cutting blade coupled to the first arm and moveable with the first arm, a second arm moveable relative to the axis, and a second cutting blade coupled to the second arm and moveable with the second arm. The first and second cutting blades are selectively moveable relative to the axis to adjust a cutting diameter of the hole cutter assembly. The drill bit engages the first and second arms to inhibit movement of the first and second cutting blades relative to the drill bit.

Adjustable diameter hole cutter

A hole cutter assembly is operable to cut a plurality of different sized diameter holes in a work piece. The hole cutter assembly includes an arbor configured to connect to a power tool for rotation about an axis, and a body coupled to the arbor for rotation with the arbor. The body defines an aperture. The hole cutter assembly includes a drill bit removably received in the aperture of the body for rotation with the arbor, an arm moveably coupled to the body, and a cutting blade coupled to the arm and moveable with the arm relative to the body. The arm is moveable relative to the body to adjust a cutting diameter of the hole cutter assembly when the drill bit is not received within the aperture. The arm is fixed relative to the body when the drill bit is received within the aperture.
