DEVICE AND COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED METHOD FOR DETERMINING A VARIABLE OF A TECHNICAL SYSTEM

A device, computer program, and computer-implemented method for determining a variable of a technical system. An input variable is determined for a first model for determining the variable at a first temporal resolution. A first time series is provided, at the first temporal resolution, including values which characterize an operating variable of the technical system. A second time series is provided. at a second temporal resolution, including values which characterize the operating variable of the technical system, the first and second temporal resolutions being different. The second time series is mapped using a second model for determining a first prediction for the variable of the technical system at the second temporal resolution on the first prediction. Parameters of a second model are determined, using the second time series, which are mapped on parameters of a third model at the first temporal resolution.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MONITORING A FUEL CELL

A torque generating system is described, and includes a fuel cell power device, a high-voltage battery, an electric drive unit, and a controller. The fuel cell power device has a non-linear power-temperature relationship that has a local temperature maxima at a first electric power level and a local temperature minima at a second electric power level. A first operating point of the fuel cell power device is less than the first electric power level, and a second operating point of the fuel cell power device is set at a third electric power level that is greater than the first electric power level, wherein the third electric power level generates a fuel cell temperature that is less than the local temperature maxima. The fuel cell power device is controlled to one of the first operating point or the second operating point to transfer electric power to the electric drive unit.

METAL MATERIAL HAVING IMPROVED CORROSION RESISTANCE AND METHOD OF IMPROVING CORROSION RESISTANCE OF METAL MATERIAL SURFACE USING OXYGEN REDUCTION CATALYST

The present invention relates to a method of improving the corrosion resistance of a metal substrate surface using an oxygen reduction catalyst, which may improve the corrosion resistance of the metal substrate surface by coating the metal substrate surface with the oxygen reduction catalyst so that the metal substrate surface is changed to a passive state through the action of the oxygen reduction catalyst in an environment in which a stable oxide layer is not spontaneously formed on the metal substrate surface. The present invention has an advantage in that it can dramatically improve the corrosion resistance of the metal substrate under a corrosive environment by allowing a recoverable oxide layer to be formed on the metal substrate surface through the action of the oxygen reduction catalyst, applied to the surface, even in an environment in which an oxide layer is not spontaneously formed on the metal substrate.
