CHEMICAL RECYCLING OF PROCESSED MIXED PLASTIC WASTE STREAMS

Chemical recycling facilities for processing mixed plastic waste are provided herein. Such facilities have the capability of processing mixed plastic waste streams and utilize a variety of recycling facilities, such as, for example, solvolysis facility, a pyrolysis facility, a cracker facility, a partial oxidation gasification facility, an energy generation/energy production facility, and a solidification facility. Streams from one or more of these individual facilities may be used as feed to one or more of the other facilities, thereby maximizing recovery of valuable chemical components and minimizing unusable waste streams.

TREATMENT OF LIGHT PYROLYSIS PRODUCTS BY PARTIAL OXIDATION GASIFICATION

Methods and systems are provided for the conversion of waste plastics into various useful downstream recycle-content products. More particularly, the present system and method involves pyrolyzing one or more waste plastics into various pyrolysis products, including pyrolysis gas, and then subjecting the pyrolysis gas to partial oxidation (POX) gasification to thereby form a syngas composition.

Using Spent Caustic Solution from Pygas Treatment to Neutralize Halogens from Liquified Waste Plastic

Processes and facilities for producing recycled chemical products from waste plastic are described herein. The processes include treating process streams, such as a pyrolysis gas stream and/or at least a portion of a cracker furnace effluent stream, in a caustic scrubber process to remove certain components, such as carbon dioxide. The spent caustic solution from the caustic scrubber process is then recycled and reused in other caustic processes within the facility, which can include a halogen neutralization process from removing halogens from a liquification process off-gas.

White polyester film and method for manufacturing the same

A white polyester film and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The white polyester film includes a physically recycled polyester resin and a chemically recycled polyester resin. The physically recycled polyester resin is formed by a plurality of physically recycled polyester chips. The chemically recycled polyester resin is formed by a plurality of chemically recycled polyester chips and mixed with the physically recycled polyester resin. The plurality of chemically recycled polyester chips further include chemically recycled electrostatic pinning polyester chips. The chemically recycled electrostatic pinning polyester chips contain electrostatic pinning additives, and the electrostatic pinning additives are metal salts. Expressed in percent by weight based on a total weight of the polyester film, a content of the electrostatic pinning additives in the polyester film is between 0.005% and 0.1% by weight. The polyester film further includes a white additive.

RECYCLED POLYOLEFIN COMPONENT FOR HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES

A component for household appliances made of a plastic mixture comprising recycled polyolefin composition deriving from post-consumer plastic materials and/or post-industrial plastic materials and at least one filler. Also provided are a household appliance including the component and a method for manufacturing the household appliance by using the component.

CHEMICAL RECYCLING OF PLASTIC-DERIVED STREAMS TO A CRACKER SEPARATION ZONE WITH ENHANCED ENERGY EFFICIENCY

Methods and systems are provided for the conversion of waste plastics into various useful downstream recycle-content products. More particularly, the present system and method involves integrating a pyrolysis facility with a cracker facility by introducing at least a stream of r-pyrolysis gas into the cracker facility, in the cracker facility, the r-pyrolysis gas may be separated to form one or more recycle content products, and can enhance the operation of the facility.

SEPARATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROCESSING ORGANIC POLYMERIC MATERIALS

A thermal cracking treatment train, comprising: a rotatable kiln reactor; the rotatable kiln reactor being configured to receive a polymeric feed material, the reactor defining at least one interior wall that bounds an interior volume of the reactor, the interior volume defining an entrance and an exit along a direction of feed material travel, the rotatable kiln reactor comprising a section that comprises one or more sweeping features configured to sweep, with rotation of the kiln, a portion of the at least one interior wall, the kiln comprising a section that comprises one or more lifter features extending from the at least one interior wall and configured to, with rotation of the kiln, encourage material disposed on the one or more features to fall into the interior volume of the interior kiln; a combustor configured to provide a heated gas to the rotatable kiln reactor; and a devolatilization train.

Methods and systems are provided for the conversion of waste plastics into various useful downstream recycle-content products. More particularly, the present system and method involves pyrolyzing one or more waste plastics into various pyrolysis products, including a carbon solids-containing pyrolysis residue, and then subjecting the pyrolysis residue to partial oxidation gasification to thereby form a syngas composition.

METHOD FOR PREPARING BUTYRONITRILE RUBBER POWDER-BASED PVC THERMOPLASTIC ELASTOMER AND USE OF BUTYRONITRILE RUBBER POWDER-BASED PVC THERMOPLASTIC ELASTOMER IN PREPARING AUTOMOTIVE PARTS

A method for preparing a butyronitrile rubber powder-based polyvinyl chloride (PVC) thermoplastic elastomer and a use of the butyronitrile rubber powder-based PVC thermoplastic elastomer in preparing automotive parts are provided. The method includes: activating a wasted nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) powder; plasticizing one of NBR and chloroprene rubber (CR) to obtain a plasticized rubber; dispersing the activated NBR fine rubber powder with one of PVC and chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) in a kneader evenly to obtain a mixture; adding the mixture and pine tar into the plasticized rubber, then mixing evenly to obtain a mixed plastic; adding various compounding agents into the mixed plastic and dispersing evenly to perform cross-linking reaction, thereby obtaining the butyronitrile rubber powder-based PVC thermoplastic elastomer. By using the wasted NBR powder as a main material, which turns waste into treasure and has low cost, and the butyronitrile rubber powder-based PVC thermoplastic elastomer has excellent comprehensive performance.
