A system and method for tiered pricing for any scarce commodity, such as petroleum products or food stuffs, may be used to ration the scarce commodity. The system and method may use a dual currency transaction system to manage the rationing. In the use case for gas or oil as the scarce commodity, the dual currency system and method and the tiered pricing may also reduce carbon emissions into the atmosphere by charging both a monetary price and a carbon price for a product or service wherein the carbon price for each purchasable item (good or service) may correspond to a number of Kg of Co2 emitted by the manufacture/sale/use of the purchasable item.

The memory includes instructions stored thereon, which, when executed by the processor, cause the system to receive input from the GUI, the input including a travel itinerary inquiry, determine a provider listing based on the received travel itinerary inquiry, display the determined provider listing on the GUI, receive a second input from the GUI, the second input including a listing selection, determine a carbon footprint value based on the listing selection, and display the carbon footprint value and the listing selection on the GUI. The travel itinerary inquiry is at least one of an accommodations inquiry, transportation inquiry, or experiences inquiry.

The trigger condition is based on the gradient. The operations include performing the control process subject to the constraint using the modified value of the constraint variable and operating equipment in accordance with a result of the control process.

An enterprise activity evaluation system for enterprise activities dealing with environmental management, the enterprise activity evaluation system including: a reception unit; a storage unit; a boundary determination unit; and an evaluation unit, wherein the reception unit receives input of enterprise activity information including a subject and a detailed item, and its expense, the detailed item having a hierarchical structure including at least a detailed item whose parent is the subject, and a detailed item whose parent is the detailed item, the storage unit stores, in a non-volatile recording medium, a calculation coefficient for calculating a GHG emission amount based on the expense, the calculation coefficient being associated with the subject or the detailed item, and boundary information indicating the subject or the detailed item that corresponds to an evaluation target and the subject or the detailed item that does not correspond to the evaluation target with respect to an evaluation index of environmental management, the boundary information indicating the correspondence/non-correspondence to the evaluation target of at least GHG calculation, the boundary determination unit determines whether each record of the enterprise activity information corresponds or does not correspond to the evaluation target based on the boundary information, and the evaluation unit determines an economic cost indicating the expense of the enterprise activity information, and determines, based on the calculation coefficient, an environmental cost indicating the GHG emission amount for each record determined to correspond to the evaluation target of the GHG calculation.
Sustainable energy tracking system utilizing blockchain technology and Merkle tree hashing structure
Apparatus and associated methods relate to generating energy blocks on a blockchain corresponding to generation, transmission, and consumption of predetermined quanta of energy represented by corresponding records in an associated Merkle trie. In an illustrative example, individual energy data records may be hashed. Each hash may be stored in a leaf node of a Merkle trie. The individual energy data records may be aggregated to correspond to represent a predetermined quantum of energy. The individual energy data records may include energy generation records. The energy blocks may be associated with scheduling, delivery, and consumption data for the energy quantum. Various embodiments may advantageously provide secure, verifiable, and immutable tracking and processing of energy generation, transmission, and consumption of physical energy quanta across one or more distributed energy networks.

Systems and methods of the present disclosure may collect data associated with a user activity. The data may be transmitted from an app running on a computing device with a user account authenticated by the computer-based system. The system may calculate a carbon footprint of the user activity based on the data associated with the user activity. An amount of carbon credits may be assigned to a user account authenticated with the computer-based system based on the calculated carbon footprint of the user activity. A transaction may be written to a blockchain retiring the amount of carbon credits in response to a request to offset a carbon footprint.
