Method and device for operating an electric machine for outputting a predefined torque and a predefined rotational speed
The invention relates to a method and device for operating an electric machine (10) for outputting a predefined torque and a predefined rotational speed, comprising the following steps: providing (420) a first and a second operating mode for the operation of the electric machine (10); detecting (430) a temperature of the electric machine (10); and operating the electric machine (10) in the first operating mode (440) if the detected temperature falls below a threshold value, and operating the electric machine (10) in the second operating mode (450) if the detected temperature corresponds with the threshold value or exceeds same. During the operation of the electric machine (10) in the second operating mode (450), with the resulting output of the predefined torque and the predefined rotational speed, the magnetic stator flux of the electric machine (10) is reduced compared with the magnetic stator flux of the electric machine (10) during the operation of the electric machine (10) in the first operating mode (440), with the resulting output of the predefined torque and the predefined rotational speed.
Aircraft engine power-assist start stability control
A hybrid electric propulsion system includes a gas turbine engine having a low speed spool and a high speed spool. The low speed spool includes a low pressure compressor and a low pressure turbine, and the high speed spool includes a high pressure compressor and a high pressure turbine. The hybrid electric propulsion system also includes an energy storage system, an electric motor configured to augment rotational power of the high speed spool, and a controller. The controller is operable to detect a start condition of the gas turbine engine, control power delivery from the energy storage system to the electric motor based on detecting the start condition, and provide a compressor stall margin using a power-assist provided by the electric motor to the high speed spool over a targeted speed range during starting of the gas turbine engine.
Equipment control system
A system and method monitor operation of a compressor, determine whether the operation of the compressor is outside of a designated range of values, and, responsive to determining that the operation of the compressor is outside of the designated range of values, one or more of (a) prevent communication of a signal to a system controller that controls operation of the compressor, (b) direct a gas from a reservoir to a pressure sensor used by the system controller to determine a gas pressure generated by the compressor, and/or (c) communicate the signal to the system controller that controls operation of the compressor.
Method of limiting current of fuel cell stack
A current limiting method of a fuel cell stack is capable of preventing current of the fuel cell stack from rapidly dropping to prevent jerking or shock from occurring while a vehicle travels. The method includes: determining whether performance deterioration of a unit cell of the fuel cell stack has occurred, employing a feed forward control type current limiting logic of the fuel cell stack before an output of the fuel cell vehicle is lowered, decreasing the current of the fuel cell stack to a predetermined level by the feed forward control type current limiting logic, and gradually restoring the current of the fuel cell stack to a maximum current usage value from a point in time when the current of a load is used.
Electric vehicle
An electric vehicle includes an electric motor for transmitting torque to a wheel, a clutch pedal operated by driver, and a torque controller for controlling torque of the electric motor. The torque controller is configured to control torque of the electric motor in response to an operation amount of the clutch pedal. The electric vehicle may include a shift lever for selecting a mode of any one of a plurality of modes in which torque characteristics of the electric motor differ in stages with respect to a rotational speed of the electric motor. The clutch pedal is operated when the shift lever is operated. The torque controller is configured to control torque of the electric motor in response to the mode selected by the shift lever.
Motor device
A motor device for a vehicle includes a stator, a rotor, a bearing, an inverter, and a controller. The stator is attached into a housing and includes a concentrated winding coil. The rotor includes a permanent magnet. The bearing supports a rotating shaft of the rotor. The inverter controls an energization state of the concentrated winding coil. If a rotational speed of the rotor is greater than a threshold, the controller outputs a control signal to the inverter to execute field weakening control, and thereby makes a potential difference between the housing and the rotating shaft lower than a withstand voltage of the bearing. The control signal controls the energization state of the concentrated winding coil. The field weakening control generates magnetic flux of the concentrated winding coil in a direction of weakening magnetic flux of the permanent magnet.
