METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR TREATING A SUBTERRANEAN FORMATION WITH SALT-TOLERANT CEMENT SLURRIES
Methods and compositions for treating a subterranean formation with salt-tolerant cement slurries including treating a salt-containing subterranean formation having sodium salts, potassium salts, magnesium salts, calcium salts, or any combination thereof comprising: providing a salt-tolerant cement slurry comprising: a base fluid, a cementitious material, a pozzolanic material, a salt-tolerant fluid loss additive, a salt additive, and optionally, an elastomer, a weight additive, a fluid loss intensifier, a strengthening agent, a dispersant, or any combination thereof; introducing the salt-tolerant cement slurry into the subterranean formation; and allowing the salt-tolerant cement slurry to set.
PIPE JOINT, PIPE AND METHOD OF JOINING PIPE SECTIONS
A pipe joint and elongated cementitious pipe is formed by joining abutting ends of adjacent pipe sections with a fiber reinforced composite material without the need for the pipe sections to have other connection means, such as the standard bell and spigot end connections. Also disclosed is a cementitious pipe including at least two cementitious pipe sections having ends that are joined together with a fiber reinforced polymer composite material. The cementitious pipe sections and resulting cementitious pipe may have a substantially uniform wall thickness and substantially uniform inner and outer diameters near the opposite ends of the pipe sections. Also provided is a method for joining cementitious pipe sections with a fiber reinforced composite material to manufacture an elongated cementitious pipe, such as an elongated concrete pipe.
INSULATED CONCRETE SLIP FORM AND METHOD OF ACCELERATING CONCRETE CURING USING SAME
The invention comprises a concrete form. The form comprises a first concrete forming panel having a first primary surface adapted for forming and contacting plastic concrete and a second primary surface opposite the first primary surface; a layer of insulating material contacting and substantially covering the second primary surface of the first concrete forming panel; and an insulating blanket adjacent the first concrete forming panel. A method of using the concrete form is also disclosed.
Corrosion Resistant Spray Applied Fire Resistive Materials
The present disclosure relates to corrosion resistant coating compositions, kits and methods of applying the same, for use as fireproofing materials. The corrosion resistant spray applied fire resistant material contains an organic corrosion inhibitors, such as an aldonic acid, benzoic acid, or combinations thereof, to reduce or eliminate corrosion of the underlying substrate.
Geopolymer molding production method and geopolymer molding production system
This geopolymer molding production method comprises: a mixing step (S1) for mixing a first material containing aluminum and silicon with a hydrate of an alkali stimulant containing a hydrate of an alkaline hydroxide and/or a hydrate of an alkaline silicate; a compaction step (S2) for compacting the mixture obtained in the mixing step (S1) into a compacted mixture; and a curing step (S3) for curing the compacted mixture.
SYSTEM FOR MAKING GYPSUM BOARD USING A LIQUID GYPSUM SET ACCELERATOR
Systems and methods for making gypsum board using a liquid gypsum set accelerator. Stucco and water are mixed to form a gypsum slurry, such as in a pin mixer. A gypsum set accelerator is mixed with a liquid medium to form a liquid gypsum set accelerator, such as in an eductor. The liquid gypsum set accelerator is added to the gypsum slurry, which is shaped to form the gypsum board.
TWO-COMPONENT LOST CIRCULATION PILL FOR SEEPAGE TO MODERATE LOSS CONTROL
A two-component lost circulation material (LCM) is provided having a polymer component and a sodium hydroxide component. The polymer component may include a carrier fluid such as water, a particulate material such as fly ash, a fibrous material such as polypropylene fibers, and an acrylic polymer. The sodium hydroxide component may include water and sodium hydroxide. The sodium hydroxide component is introduced to contact the polymer component to form the two-component LCM. Methods of lost circulation control and manufacture of a two-component LCM are also provided.
GYPSUM WALLBOARD COMPRISING LAMINATED MULTI-PLY PAPER COVER SHEETS BONDED WITH A NON-IONIC POLYMERIC BINDER AND METHODS
Provided are wallboard panels comprising laminated multi-ply paper cover sheets bonded with a non-ionic polymeric binder and a cross-linker, and methods for making the wallboard panels.
System and Method for High Throughput Preparation of Rubber-Modified Asphalt Cement
This invention encompasses rubber modified asphalt cement compositions, as well as systems, apparatuses, methods for preparing, as well as methods for using rubber-modified asphalt cement compositions.
ACOUSTICAL SOUND PROOFING MATERIAL FOR ARCHITECTURAL RETROFIT APPLICATIONS AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A laminated structure for use in retrofit building construction (partition, wall, ceiling, floor or door) that exhibits improved acoustical sound proofing characteristics while being optimized for efficient installation. The laminated structure includes a panel with at least one layer of viscoelastic glue, or fire-10 resistant, viscoelastic glue, which functions both as a glue and an energy dissipating layer. In one embodiment, the laminated structure to be attached to an existing wall in some embodiments includes standard paper-faced gypsum board. In another embodiment the to-be-applied laminated structure includes a cement-based board, and in yet another embodiment the to-be-applied laminated 15 structure includes a cellulose-based board. Once the laminated structure is installed on an existing wall or other partition, the resulting structure greatly attenuates transmitted noise and minimizes the labor required for installation and finishing.
