Tilt mechanisms and actuators for umbrellas
A patio umbrella that includes a tilt mechanism for adjusting a shade angle of the umbrella canopy. The umbrella canopy can be opened and closed by a crank and spool mechanism. The tilt mechanism can be controlled by an actuator that operates independently of the crank and spool mechanism. The actuator can be mounted on the upright pole of the patio umbrella.
PORTABLE SHELTERS
A portable shelter includes a frame structure with a plurality of pole structures. In some embodiments, a pole structure includes telescopically movable pole portions and a spring-biasing mechanism configured to bias one pole portion away from the other. In some embodiments, a center hub structure of the portable shelter includes a locking mechanism for engaging one of the pole portions to interfere with telescopic movement of the pole structure. In some embodiments, a pole structure includes a flexible portion attached to a first rigid portion, and a second rigid portion that is movable relative to the first rigid portion. The second rigid portion is pivotable or telescopically movable between a first position in which the second rigid portion overlaps the first rigid portion such that the flexible portion is free to flex, and a second position in which the second rigid portion overlaps and restrains the flexible portion.
SUNSHADE UMBRELLA CAPABLE OF ROTATING LEFT AND RIGHT
A sunshade umbrella capable of rotating left and right includes a base, a vertical column, a transverse rod, a drawing rod, an umbrella frame, a rotating mechanism for controlling the umbrella frame to rotate left and right, and an adjustment handle for driving the rotating mechanism to rotate. The umbrella frame has a lengthened rib, and a bottom end of the lengthened rib is connected to the rotating mechanism. The rotating mechanism includes an upper clutch tooth mechanism and a lower clutch tooth mechanism. The adjustment handle is disposed on the lower clutch tooth mechanism. The upper clutch tooth mechanism and the lower clutch tooth mechanism are respectively disposed at the top end and the bottom end of the transverse rod, and are connected with each other through a connecting rod.
GOLF SWING PRACTICE SHIELDING UMBRELLA ASSEMBLY
A golf swing practice shielding umbrella assembly includes a base having a top side, a bottom side and a perimeter edge extending between the top and bottom sides. A plurality of legs is attached to and radiate outwardly from the perimeter edge. Each of the legs has at least one of a plurality of spikes attached thereto and extending downwardly therefrom. The spikes are extendable into a ground surface to stabilize the base relative to the ground surface. A post is attached to and extends upwardly from the top side. The post has a top end. An umbrella includes a shaft and a canopy attached together. The shaft has a bottom end that is removably extendable into the top end of the post.
Pole, umbrella mast, and the like, anchor and method of use
A device and method for anchoring a device, such as a mast or pole, including a base having a space or opening for inserting a mast or pole and a wedge having a pointed end or a rounded end and a beveled edge, wherein the wedge is attached perpendicularly to the base. A method of installation of the device includes placing the device on a surface, exerting a downward force on the base, and plunging the wedge into the surface.
WEIGHT SYSTEMS AND METHODS STABILIZING OBJECTS
A weight system for containing fill material for supporting a free-standing object comprises a weight container defines an interior chamber and fill opening and a closure system. Fill material within the interior chamber is entirely below the fill opening.
Movable Umbrella Base
A movable umbrella base comprises a housing (1), a wheel frame (2) disposed under the bottom of the housing (1), at least three wheels (3) connected at intervals to the wheel frame (2) and located partially under the wheel frame (2), a plurality of air bags (4) located inside a space defined by the wheel frame (2) and the housing (1), and a plurality of elastic members (6) limit displacement of the wheel frame (2) and the wheels (3) from the housing (1); when the air bags (4) are inflated, the housing (1) is lifted up relative to the wheel frame (2) and the wheels (3) from the ground; when the air bags (4) are deflated, the housing (1) is lowered relative to the wheel frame (2) and the wheels (3) and contacts the ground. The umbrella base can be moved by the air bags (4), the whole operation process is easier, and it saves more time and effort.
METHODS, APPARATUSES AND SYSTEMS FOR ANCHORING UMBRELLAS AND CANOPIES
A beach umbrella anchoring system including an anchor member container, in the form of a cylindrical beach umbrella carrying bag, for containing a weighting medium, such as sand or water, and a connector for connecting the container to a beach umbrella restraining device; and a beach umbrella restraining device comprising a flexible cable member, a releasable connector fixed to one end of the cable for releasably connecting the cable to a beach umbrella, a second releasable connector, fixed to the other end of the cable, for releasably connecting the cable member to the anchor member, and a third releasable connector, attached to the anchor member for releasably attaching to the ground. The anchoring system may be supplied in the form of a kit comprising the anchoring member (beach bag), umbrella and the restraining device. The provision of the container member in the form of a beach bag allows the system to be readily carried to the beach along with other paraphernalia. The apparatuses and systems serve to anchor beach umbrellas and canopies against being overturned and flailing about in sudden or unexpected gusts of wind.
Movable base for shade structure
A movable base for a shade structure, such as an umbrella, operable between a movable position and a fixed position. The movable base including a foot pedal to transition between the movable and fixed positions. In one example, the foot pedal operates a locking assembly, such as a plate or linkage assembly that engages with the ground in the fixed position and is raised from the ground in the movable positions.
Support assembly for indoor and outdoor use
The present invention is directed to improvements of a support assembly having a versatile structure capable of use with a variety of different products, devices, etc. intended for outdoor and/or indoor use such as, but not limited to, furniture, and/or umbrella or shade structures. The support assembly includes a body having a plurality of connector structures fixedly connected in outwardly extending, collectively surrounding relation thereto. The connector structures movably and removably interconnect one or more inserts in overlying relation to an outer surface of the body. When the body defines a support pole for an umbrella assembly, the plurality of connectors extend outwardly from the inserts in movable engagement with a canopy activating hub, thereby maintaining a spacing between the hub and the inserts, concurrent to travel of the hub along the length of the body.
