The apparatus also includes a first controller configured to control the first voltage converter to convert the second voltage into the first charging voltage and to provide the first charging voltage to the first energy storage device during a charging mode of operation and communicate with a second controller located remotely from the power electronic energy conversion system to cause a second charging voltage to be provided to the first energy storage device during the charging mode of operation to rapidly charge the first energy storage device.
Methods and systems for regenerating a particulate filter
Systems and methods for improving regeneration of a particulate filter located in an exhaust system of a vehicle are presented. In one example, the particulate filter is regenerated when the vehicle is expected to operate in a stationary electric power generating mode where the vehicle supplies electric power to off-board electric power consumers.
ANTI-JERK CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD OF ECO-FRIENDLY VEHICLE
An anti jerk control system and method of an eco-friendly vehicle are provided to prevent a driver from sensing a difference in vehicle starting at an initial stage when the vehicle is parked on a downhill road. The anti-jerk control method uses a motor as a driving source and includes calculating an actual speed of the motor, calculating a model speed of the motor, and acquiring a gradient of a road, on which the vehicle is located, using a gradient detector. Additionally, the method includes determining a speed offset value that corresponds to the acquired gradient, compensating the model speed by the speed offset value, and calculating a motor vibration component using a difference between the compensated model speed and the actual speed of the motor. Then, anti-jerk compensation torque is calculated using the calculated motor vibration component.
Engine apparatus
At every ignition cycle, when a duration change amount ΔT30[i] is equal to or less than a reference value ΔT30ref2, a misfire counter Cmf is kept unchanged. When the duration change amount ΔT30[i] is greater than the reference value ΔT30ref2, on the other hand, the misfire counter Cmf is incremented by value 1. A misfire ratio Rmf is set to provide a smaller value when an amount increasing determination flag F[i] is equal to value 1 than a value when the amount increasing determination flag F[i] is equal to value 0. In the case where an ignition counter Ci reaches or exceeds a reference value Ciref, it is determined whether a conversion catalyst is overheated by comparison between the misfire counter Cmf and an accumulated misfire ratio Rmfsum that is an accumulated value of the misfire ratio Rmf.
ELECTRIC ACTUATOR WITH PRE-HEATING
The invention relates to a method for operating an electrical network, in particular an onboard network of a vehicle, in particular of a hybrid vehicle (HEV), of a plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) or of an electric vehicle (EV). Said network comprises a battery system, which contains a battery separation unit (10), with which a high-voltage battery (12) can be separated from a battery positive pole (18) and/or a battery negative pole (32) or from both battery poles (18, 32) of the on-board network. A main contactor and/or precharging contactor coil (22, 28, 36) of at least one electromagnetic switch (20, 24) is pre-heated. In the case of a pulse-width modulation signal control, the actuation takes place with a fraction (54), preferably 10% to 30%, of an activation pulse width. In the case of actuation by direct current signals, the main contactor and/or precharging contactor coils (22, 28, 36) are preheated according to the temperature in the interior of the electrical energy accumulator with heating gradients (62, 64, 66) chosen according to the temperature.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DECELERATING A VEHICLE
The present invention relates to a method for decelerating a vehicle comprising an electrical machine being arranged to provide a controllable torque to at least one drive wheel, said vehicle including driver controllable means for actively requesting a torque for propelling the vehicle. The method includes, when a driver request for a propelling torque is reduced at least to a first extent: applying a first brake torque by means of said electrical machine, by means of said first brake torque, decelerate said vehicle to a stationary state, and by means of said electrical machine, when said vehicle has been decelerated to said stationary state, continue applying a torque by means of said electrical machine to keep said vehicle in said stationary state.
METHOD OF DECREASING VIBRATION DURING RELEASE OF STOP GEAR OF VEHICLE
A method of decreasing vibration during release of a stop gear of a vehicle can be applied to an eco-friendly vehicle for decreasing vibration generated when a driver releases a P step of a gear lever while torsion occurs in a drive shaft of the vehicle. Reaction force torque of a driving motor is controlled so as to output reaction force that has been generated in a parking sprag by a driving motor when torsion occurs in the drive shaft after entrance of the gear lever into the P step, so as to decrease vibration generated because torsion reaction force of the drive shaft vanishes at the same time.
Systems and methods for selective driver coaching based on driver efficiency
Systems and methods of selective driver coaching are provided. Driver coaching systems learn the characteristics of a deceleration event. With the goal of increasing recouped energy while operating a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV), driver coaching systems predict when the HEV can begin coasting at the start of the deceleration event. In this way, the amount of time during which regenerative braking can be applied may be increased. Coaching cues are provided to the driver so that the HEV can be operated in way that achieves the goal of increasing recouped energy. However, engaging in excessive regenerative breaking can negate its advantages if the amount needed to reaccelerate the HEV to a cruising/steady speed is too great. Selective driver coaching provides coaching cues only if the operating efficiency of the HEV exceeds the operating efficiency of the HEV when controlled by the driver without coaching cues.
