A sunshade for an outdoor public space, having a pane made from an at least partially opaque material and a pivotal mount adapted to be fixed to the ground and pivotally supporting the pane for rotation about a vertical axis of rotation. The pane is of elongate shape, extending longitudinally, parallel to the axis of rotation, between a lower end and an upper free end. The pane has a width and a thickness smaller than the width.

Shading Structure

The invention is a shading structure (10) having an open state and a closed state and comprising a canopy (12), wherein the canopy (12) is affixed to further components of the shading structure (10) at at least two attachment places (18), wherein the two attachment places (18) define an axis of rotation (21), and at least two stiffening sections (14) arranged along a periphery of the canopy (12), wherein adjacent stiffening sections (14) are coupled to each other by a respective articulating member (16), and wherein the canopy (12) is stretched in the open state of the shading structure (10) by means of the stiffening sections (14) coupled to each other by the articulating member(s) (16).

The shading structure is characterised in that in the open state of the shading structure (10) the stiffening sections (14) are skew with respect to the axis of rotation (21), and in the closed state of the shading structure (10) the stiffening sections (14) extend in the direction of the axis of rotation (21), and the canopy (12) is rolled up around the axis of rotation (21). An outdoor electronic apparatus and a sunshade thereof are provided. The sunshade is assembled to an electronic device, and includes a top shield and a plurality of shielding structures formed on the top shield. The top shield has a plurality of top convection holes at least partially corresponding in position to the shielding structures. An edge of any one of the shielding structures and a hole edge of the corresponding top convection hole jointly define a first interface region having an outflow area. The sunshade and an outer surface of the electronic device jointly define a second interface region that is in spatial communication with the first interface regions of the top shield and that has an inflow area. The inflow area is greater than or equal to at least 20% of a sum of the outflow areas of the top shield.

A device is disclosed for facilitating the anchoring and release of a structure to a medium, such as sand. The device is operable to inject a liquefying fluid into a medium upon a down stroke so as to facilitate liquefication within an area of the medium. The structure is simultaneously inserted into the area of the medium where liquefication has occurred by creating a vacuum within the structure, upon an upstroke, which facilitates the insertion operation. The distal end of the structure to be anchored is fitted with at least one protrusion for increasing the holding force of the medium. If desired, the distal end of the structure is also fitted with at least one fin operable under selective control of a user for reducing the holding force on the structure. In one embodiment, the user, when desiring to release the structure, rotates the structure, thereby rotating the fin. The fin, rotating within the liquefied medium, serves to reduce the holding force of the medium with respect to the structure, thereby allowing for easier removal of the structure by a user.
