Microfluidic pump and valve structures and fabrication methods
Plastic microfluidic structures having a substantially rigid diaphragm that actuates between a relaxed state wherein the diaphragm sits against the surface of a substrate and an actuated state wherein the diaphragm is moved away from the substrate. As will be seen from the following description, the microfluidic structures formed with this diaphragm provide easy to manufacture and robust systems, as well readily made components such as valves and pumps.
Guiding deformation in seated hydraulic metering devices
A hydraulic valve arrangement includes a manifold and a poppet. The manifold defines a bleed ring that surrounds a bore and has an angled surface. The manifold also defines an annular recess around the bleed ring that provides a relief region. The poppet is slidably disposed within the bore and is structured to close a main flow path between the first and second ports when the poppet is in a first position and the poppet being structured to at least partially open the main flow path when the poppet slides away from the first position. The poppet defines an angled contact surface that is configured to engage the angled contact surface of the bleed ring when the poppet is in the first position.
Cage Valve with Flow Trim for Reduced Port Erosion
A valve, and tubular cage component for a valve, in which the tubular cage is formed such that at least a ported portion between the ends of the cage includes a tubular outer cage member formed from a metal material, and a tubular inner cage member formed from a wear resistant material. The inner cage member and the outer cage member are concentrically aligned and have a length to span at least the ported portion. Some or all of the flow ports in the ported portion include a port insert which includes a port sleeve formed from a wear resistant material such that the port sleeve extends at least over the metal material of the outer cage member at the flow port.
Valves and hubs for tubular devices and methods for making and using them
A hub for a sheath, catheter, or other tubular device includes a first hub portion including a first hub lumen sized for receiving a medical device therethrough, and a second hub portion including a second hub lumen, the second hub portion coupled to the first hub portion such that the first and second hub lumens are aligned with one another and the first and second hub portions are spaced apart from one another to define a gap. A valve is secured within the gap between the first and second hub portions that includes a valve passage therethrough, e.g., for accommodating receiving a medical device through the first and second hub lumens into the tubular device, while providing a substantially fluid tight seal.
Friction welding drive apparatus for repair of pipes and valves
In some implementations, an injection system that injects sealant into a pipe, pressure component or valve while containing the pipe, pressure component or valve repair that significantly reduces or eliminates release of hazardous material from inside the pipe, pressure component valve or injection system and thus significantly reduces emission of the hazardous material from inside the pipe, pressure component or valve into the environment and protecting the repair technicians.

Flap actuator
The invention relates to a flap actuator, in particular to a servo/spoiler actuator, comprising at least one electrohydraulic servo valve and at least one actuator which are hydraulically connected to one another, wherein the actuator comprises at least one actuator housing in and/or at which the at least one channel is arranged by means of which one or more components, preferably likewise arranged in and/or at the actuator housing, are hydraulically connected and wherein no valve block is arranged between the actuator and the servo valve.
Providing positive displacement upon disconnection using a connector with a dual diaphragm valve
Positive displacement using a connector with dual diaphragms is provided. For example, the connector includes a single fluid flow path, an air chamber and a valve. The single fluid flow path is configured for delivering fluid to a person and configured for receiving fluid from a person. The air chamber configured for expelling air from the air chamber when an actuator is inserted into the connector and for receiving air into the chamber when the actuator is removed from the connector. The valve plug comprises two diaphragms that separate the air chamber from the single fluid flow path. The valve plug is configured for creating positive displacement by returning the valve plug to its uncompressed state when the actuator is removed from the connector.
VENOUS VALVE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD WITH SINUS POCKET
A valve with a frame and valve leaflets that provide a sinus pocket. The valve provides for unidirectional flow of a liquid through the valve.
Collapsible valve
A collapsible valve comprising a first portion with at least one dimple in a side thereof, and a second portion, the second portion being narrower than the first portion and arranged along an axial dimension of the first portion, the second portion including a cut therein.
