Method for producing a dentist tool
11865653 · 2024-01-09 · ·

A dental overlay for preparing a tooth is prepared. Movements a cutting tool follows in preparing the tooth are simulated based on data acquired from a dentition and define tooth structure to be removed by the tool from the tooth. The overlay is produced with an inner surface corresponding to and configured for contacting a contact region on and extending between respective top and bottom portions of and partially around the tooth or a neighboring tooth of the tooth. The respective bottom portion or portions are configured to be adjacent to a gingiva. The inner surface thereby remains releasably fixed to the contact region and in a same position relative to the tooth upon pressure to the overlay by the tool during the defined tooth structure removal. A groove of the overlay is configured for contacting the tool to limit its movements to predetermined movements corresponding to the simulated movements.

METHOD FOR MANIPULATING A DENTAL VIRTUAL MODEL, METHOD FOR CREATING PHYSICAL ENTITIES BASED ON A DENTAL VIRTUAL MODEL THUS MANIPULATED, AND DENTAL MODELS THUS CREATED

A 3D virtual model of an intra oral cavity in which at least a part of a finish line of a preparation is obscured is manipulated in virtual space by means of a computer or the like to create, recreate or reconstruct finish line data and other geometrical corresponding to the obscured part. Trimmed virtual models, and trimmed physical models, can then be created utilizing data thus created. The virtual models and/or the physical models may be used in the design and manufacture of copings or of prostheses.

METHOD FOR FORMING AN ENDODONTIC INSTRUMENT OR DEVICE
20200316672 · 2020-10-08 ·

Methods for manufacturing an endodontic instrument or device, such as an endodontic file for use in performing root canal therapy on a tooth, are disclosed. The method may include the steps of: (a) providing a wire or wire blank comprising a nickel titanium alloy that has been heat-treated at a heat-treat temperature and has an angle greater than 5 degrees of permanent deformation after torque at 45 degrees of flexion tested in accordance with ISO Standard 3630 Part 1: General requirements and test methods and (b) removing material from the wire or wire blank to form an endodontic instrument or device. The method may include the steps of: (a) providing a wire or wire blank comprising a nickel titanium alloy at a first temperature; and (b) removing material from the wire or wire blank at a second temperature above the first temperature to form an endodontic instrument or device.

Secondary part, set, dental implant, gingiva former, impression part, dental implant system, and method for producing an implant

The secondary part (17), for securing on and/or in a dental implant, is suitable for receiving a tertiary part. The secondary part (17) has a secondary-part body (22) with a recess (21) on the inside, and a secondary-part screw (20) receivable or received in the recess. The secondary part (17) has a screwing-in mechanism in the form of a contour for receiving a screwing-in tool for screwing the dental implant, connected to the secondary part (17), into a jawbone.

Milling block, method for producing partial or total prostheses, and complete milling block system

The invention relates to a milling block (1) for producing partial or total prostheses, comprising a prosthesis base (3) to be processed according to the shape of the jaw, on which synthetically moulded teeth (5), preferably a full set of teeth, are provided, a milling block system consisting of a first milling block for the upper set of teeth and a second milling block for the lower set of teeth, and a method for producing partial or total prostheses.

BLANK WITH ENCODING AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A DENTAL MOULDED COMPONENT
20200205946 · 2020-07-02 · ·

A blank for manufacturing molded dental components includes a blank body that includes tooth repairing material. A molded dental component is manufactured by removing portions of the tooth repairing material using a tool. The blank is encoded with at least one structure as a carrier of information regarding properties of the blank body. The at least one structure is arranged such that at least one of a position, dimensions, or a type of structure can be determined by sensing or measuring the blank. In this context, the position, the dimensions, or the type of the structure are embodied such that a value acquired during a determination of the above corresponds to information about a property of the blank body.
