Air cleaner, components thereof, and methods

A filter cartridge includes a media pack having first and second opposite flow faces; the media pack comprising flutes extending in a direction between the inlet flow face and the outlet flow face; a frame mounted on the second flow face of the media pack; a seal support section extending from the base member; and first and second opposite and spaced blades extending from the base member and in a different direction from the base member as the seal support section. The first and second blades are embedded within the media pack through the second flow face. A seal member is oriented against the seal support section. The filter cartridge can be removably oriented in a cassette. The cassette and filter cartridge are removably oriented in an air cleaner housing. The cassette may include lugs to help position the cartridge in sealing engagement with the air cleaner housing. In another embodiment, the filter cartridge is cassette-free and includes a cartridge-handle projecting therefrom.

Methods for refurbishing wind turbines

A method for refurbishing a wind turbine includes terminating use of an existing uptower electrical system of the wind turbine. The method also includes installing a new uptower electrical system for the wind turbine at an uptower location of the wind turbine. Further, the method includes providing an electrical adaptor at an uptower location for connecting the new uptower electrical system with an existing downtower electrical system. Moreover, the method includes electrically connecting the electrical adaptor between the existing downtower electrical system and the new uptower electrical system.

Fiber-to-the-Premises (FTTP) methods and systems

Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing FTTx, which might include Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH), Fiber-to-the-Building (FTTB), Fiber-to-the-Premises (FTTP), and/or the like. In some embodiments, a method might include routing an F1 line(s) from a central office or DSLAM to a fiber distribution hub (FDH) located within a block or neighborhood of customer premises, via at least an apical conduit source slot. From the FDH, an F2 line(s) might be routed, via any combination of apical conduit main slot(s), cross slot(s), far-side slot(s), missile bore(s), bore hole(s), and/or conduit(s) (collectively, Apical Conduit Components), to a network access point (NAP) servicing one or more customer premises. An F3 line(s) might be distributed, at the NAP and from the F2 line(s), to a network interface device (NID) or optical network terminal (ONT) at each customer premises, via any combination of the Apical Conduit Components, which include channels in at least portions of roadways.

Nuclear reactor chimney and method of improving core inlet enthalpy using the same

A chimney of a nuclear reactor may include a hollow body with an interior surface and an opposing exterior surface; and a plurality of trip structures on the exterior surface of the hollow body. The chimney may be used in a method of improving a core inlet enthalpy of a nuclear reactor. The method may include interrupting a downward flow of water within a downcomer region of a reactor pressure vessel with a plurality of first trip structures. The downcomer region is an annular space defined by the reactor pressure vessel and a chimney within the reactor pressure vessel. The plurality of first trip structures are disposed on an exterior surface of the chimney.
